I did catch a Google News article that said he was paid $22,000 and a gift from the President for the Obed fight. Obed was quoted as calling him "a strong challenger" and saying the fight was "a wake-up call from God" that he did not eventually heed to train harder and lay off the women. You might have better luck researching Obed's other "high profile" challenger, Tony "KO King" Gardner, lol.
