Double end bag - You should be able to jab it full strength and NOT miss 5+ times in a row. I can't say this enough! If you can hit a violently shaking DEB? Head movement stands little chance of defending a guy from your sniping. HB "flinch" drills - Attempt to go from "stance to POP" as hard, fast, and sneaky as possible. Focus on not cocking or dropping the jab hand alerting the opponent. Also throwing it with a proper mind toward defending yourself as it is a "end game" punch not a setup. Practice singles, doubles, and triples. HB burnouts - Many jab only burnout rounds to get the endurance up. Jab only sparring - Learn to use a jab effectively as a sole means of survival. Realization - Everything isn't effective for everybody. Sure you can train it, but sometimes certain things aren't you. If counting on a jab doesn't put you in a positive situation? Don't waste time letting your strengths diminish just to prove a point.
Oh i thought you forgot about my slip line vid Ylem? im still waiting for the video response of you working the line better than me 2 years ago lol, if i remember correctly a few days later you said somthing about probably having to practice for a bit before posting it up right? :rofl ill post up a fresh vid of me on the line if you respond to my first video. Your a joke Ylem and have been proven a wannabe whos never been in a ring or a boxing gym, asking if you need medicals to enter a boxing gym? lol, not owning a single pair of gloves you can sparr in? all evidence that you have never been in a boxing gym, its just nice to finally see the truth come out to light through no control of your own and to finally see you accept it, :yep now posters can see your advice and opinions on these boards for what they truely are totally worthless and useless/dangerous, they have no place here because you've never boxed, nice chatting again ylem. join that gym now this time ey buddy? you did promise last time.
that wasnt even you on the slip line. and im still waiting on that bag video that you promised 2 years ago.
Ylem if you could follow what happened and werent too stupid, we exposed you for your bull**** in a more suttle way a long time ago. we had you comenting on a vid my coach put up in training sticky of 'a guy on the slip line' which was me lol, you said you couldnt quite work the line as well but would be able to with practice lol, the vid never came. We did the same in another thread you were trolling on footwork, scrap posted a fight of another of his fighters and had you commenting on balance and footwork lol, suddenly because the guy was a world titlist on telly his balance and footwork then also got the Ylem seal of approval lol, you were supposed to realise that its me in the slip line vid and the video scrap posted regards to footwork, was actually a vid of his fighter.. too arogant to realise what you was watching or saying, too daft to see you was contradicting yourself, cant say i was surprised at confirmation of troll i knew all along youd never sparred by your shadow boxing and bagwork videos, however i am surprised you didnt catch on at what we were doing, infact im sure you did, i remember, but i guess for the sake of your own ego the mind forgets ey Ylem. Ive trained heavyweights in 1 week that would retire you on day 1, hell ive trained girls in 6 month that would stalk you and more than match you for punching power in the ring, ive got vid's to prove that aswell if you want Ylem? lol. ill sort that out for later because thats interesting. enjoy your first sparr champ watch your ego on the way down fella
It is on topic. The secret to a good jab are made in creating the physical platform and muscle memory from which to THROW one. If that is beyond you? Oh well.
[[ This content is protected ]] great idea by the way and it's very good for watching your energy output...but in my humble opinion..it's this very attitude that creates " This content is protected " boxers and not champion "fighters." Granted it's a jab, but seems to me you're just going through the motions...and that a jab from muscle memory and a physical platform to me is saying you're trying not to exert yourself [boxing is like horse racing yea yea yea]...i'd rather throw with bad intentions. you can still hurt with a snapping punch, but a relayed shot like jack dempsey's is begging for you to exert yourself...the difference is scary.
Reading back on this thread I noticed you mentioned Jeff Chandler. My dad used to box, and him and Jeff Chandler trained together, when I was a young boy around the age of 5 years old I met him. Nice guy
sniff sniff, i smell bull ****, quotes or it never happened. also repost the video of you on the slip line.
I dont have enough free time to dig up 2 year old quotes Ylem, what matters is the people with half a brain and who know what's what on the boards saw you make an idiot of yourself and got a small giggle on your behalf, its even funnier now knowing you never caught on.. ill say it for you again Ylem please try to follow.. the slip line video is in the ''good boxing drills'' sticky, go and have a look, see if you remember why you didnt want to make another one of them videos of yours. You make me laugh Ylem, you of all people have no rights to demand videos from anyone, people on these forums know i boxed and thats all i care about, just because you dont know doesnt matter to me because your not important to me or anyone else in the fight game and have no useful information so jog on with that crap, im not interested. maybe if somebody liked you on these forums you would get to know who people are around here. i dont need to confirm to a no sparr, scared-to-be boxer like you. Its you that owe's me a slip line vid Ylem, you scared to post it up or somthing? mines in the sticky for all to see and has been for years, post it up so i can atleast post this vid of a girl of mine up to compare, obviously your not going to be better than me but a girl ive been training a few month vs Ylem's 4 year self training without sparring now thats interesting but tbh i know ive got you beat again.
