Be a shame if he was he deserved a better push in his career but those dodgy loses to Smith especially the first really stopped it for him. Although I think I had the first a draw but the general opinion was he should of got the nod. Should of went for Euro instead of waiting on Lindsay for so long.
Hard fight really is i slightly favor Selby, it would be a mess IMO. I think Choi would enjoy success due to the footwork in and out offsetting Selby's jab, uppercut that he likes to throw. Plus Choi may well land the overhand right and is willing to take punches to give them. I just think Selby would be a bit to sharp and active with punches to take it. I'm never to sure how much Choi's putting in. Is he a man who fights to his level, i dunno but it be a rough house brawl.
Buncey Telling off Richard Keys, what a ledge. tbf I understand why Bunce was like that, it has irritated my profusely seeing the media in this country painting the completely wrong picture of what happened in DC. I started out feeling sympathetic to Amir for the harshness of the decisions that went against him, but now I have no empathy for him because of him and his teams demeanour since the fight and the lack of class and credit that has gone to Lamont Peterson from Team Khan and the British media. I hope Lamont takes the rematch and does a job on him.
Bunce was right, Khan was getting so many warnings he only has himself to blame for losing the points.
Yep lets face it you coach any sport and the ref's giving fouls/warnings/cards/deducting points soon as they get back to corner you'd say 'no more of it!, can't do it with this guy he's out to take points just be smart and keep fight centre ring. If he gets close..' tbh i can't say what i would say cos Khan simply couldn't do what would be need to legally work on inside without pushing/holding. But his team and him ****ed up majorly..
Yet they refuse to accept that and blame it solely on the referee, now everyone knows his weakness people will just go sit on Khan's toes and work away, I wonder who he will blame for his next loss.
Aint read the thread as i just got back but.......heres how it went down. I thought Simpson etc were just sounding Selby out and Selby was using his range well.......though a lot of there punches were taken on the gloves and Simpson was having success with his single right hand. If you hear anyone shouting for Simpson.....yes that was myself (hardly a claim to fame but having 4-5 Welshers behind me talking pish was frustrating).......and i was sat/stood behind a cpl of Johns mates (who were a bit surprised at ma usual location.....and accent).....apart from that there was no Scottish people.......or so it seemed...apart from the bunch in front of me who were kind enough to ask me to go for a bier after......but i decided against it. Apart from meeting a heap of ppl and pics etc......gutted ! Fair plays to Selby.......he defo slick....he had mad oil on him and am surprised he wasnt told to be wiped down. Anyways, he fought well....he is on the up......he was big....as expected.....given how tight he was at the weigh-in. He beat a good man. All the best to him.
