Selby-Warrington: who y'all got?

Fair play to Warrington he had a game plan which payed off. He had superior hand speed which was far more accurate than Selby's which I was surprised by. However, he did lead with his head at times and I lost count of the punches at the back of the head. The ref even warned him several times but didn't seem to have the balls or inclination to take points off. Good fight though

 

Anyone else think Selby was weight drained as ****. Look done after about two rounds. Was lethargic with everything...fair play to the guy kept himself in there. Great performance from Warrington tbf.

Its a crooked business tho. Who,d have thought bellew would have ever beat haye or Warrington beating Selby. For me we,ve got promoters with their ear to the ground...getting inside information before making fights. Selby looked drained in there. He has in his last few fights.

Frampton will beat josh...but that heart of his can close gaps. Needs to try and get it in Leeds.

 

Yea I did bbjc, he looked really poor for me tonight, punches looked slow and did not look sharp at all. Great win and attitude by Warrington, but it felt to me it was a more of Selby being poor then Warrington being great if you know what I mean.

 

One thing I would bet on Warrington will not be fighting Frampton in August at Windsor Park ! Frank is not going to put 2 cash cows with each other . Josh will do a voluntary in Leeds , Carl will go WBO route.

Made up for Warrington, was excellent. I went for Warrington win.

 

From the start as well. Just heard the commentators speaking at the end saying its been well known Selby's been drained for a while. Seriously annoys me. You want to give the other guy the full credit but come on seriously looked drained from the start. Felt tired for the guy. I,d have stopped that after five or six rounds...everything he done tonite was laboured. To the point it looks a bit dangerous.

 

Starting to think you are martin Murray as well. Lol.

I went off the variables mate. 31 years old and still boiling himself down. You get bigger as you get older, you fill out. I felt the same happened to Kell Brook. You can’t keep draining yourself down to the same weight you was 10 years previously. He looked terrible yesterday.

Warrington boxed better, he was throwing some lovely feints, making Selby commit then moving inside on him and landing some great shots.

Just as an aside, what a brilliant fight. They really went at that. It was very entertaining.

 

Was a cracking main event, just wish Selby stuck it on Josh a bit more.

 

Selby had some good spells but it just wasn’t consistent or enough. He’d have a decent minute behind the jab and then he’d get caught with a hard clean shot.

For me Selby stayed in the pocket just a fraction too long, and as Barry Jones mentioned, he was moving back in straight lines. I genuinely think Selby just didn’t rate him at all & would box his head off.

 

Will be summer 2019 at the earliest before that fight happens
