Sept 2013: Floyd vs Angulo or Floyd vs Khan

If Angulo beats Canelo he qualifies for the fight, Khan has to fight someone...his fights are always risky :think

 

Mayweather-Khan would be okay so I can laugh at all the people saying "Khan is a tough style matchup for Mayweather"

 

Khan-Mayweather is unlikely to happen in Sept, though nothing would shock me.

 

Angulo bout to get whooped. Thurman is probably next, or Garcia

 

Khan is shite but Angulo is an absolute no hoper.

 

Matthysse,Thurman,Lara, or Garcia would do but don't hold your breath if your a Floyd fan because knowing him it will be Khan in September.

If Angulo beats Alvarez, moving up to JMW and fighting him is a better victory for Floyd because I don't see Khan being able to establish himself as a legit top ranked opponent at WW in the allotted time of just one fight between now and September.

If Angulo decisively beats Alvarez he will be a top 5 JMW like that. Who could Khan beat at WW that would elevate him to a top 5 guy? You'd think it would have to be a current top 5 ranked WW as Khan has only the 143 catchweight Julio Diaz scraping-by-barely-winning on his resume at WW. All of those top 5 guys are either Floyd/Maidana, or with Top Rank.

 

Khan needs just one solid performance yet impressive victory against a good solid foe and he could be back in line for a Mayweather fight, whether that opponent is rematch Danny Garcia, rematch Lamount Peterson(the more likely scenario of the two sequels), Shawn Porter or Kell Brook, whom I think Khan can actually beat on a good night given that Brook himself has not fought the same type of experienced opposition as Khan and has yet to fight here in the states. All Khan needs to do is one solid good fight verses one of aftermentioned names and he's in!

 

Is this fight on for September 13th does anybody know ?

 

The 13th or the 20th, as Mexican Independence Day is Tuesday, September 16th. I'd tend to think it will be the 20th, maybe? Toss up, no idea.

EDIT: And that is assuming Floyd is victorious and there are no injuries sustained come May 3rd. And that he sticks to his schedule even if he doesn't get injured.

 

That's so irritating I read online the plan was the 13th and that's when he was supposed to be fighting pacman ( knew it was never going to happen ) Do you think there being a concert the next day at the mgm is a sign that the fight wont be on or will that not matter? Thanks for the help
