I gotta say I have never seen him before and thought he looked chubby @ the weigh in but watching some of his fights I'm impressed. He seems like a natural fighter comes forwards and manages to slip / throw at just the fight moments and mentally uses lateral movement. How did this guy slip under the radar for so long? The way he walked down ream in their rematch was impressive he seems like a really tough SOB.

Based on what I've seen he could take Arlovski but then again Arlovski tends to be so incredibly hot and cold in his fights so I couldn't say for sure one way or the other. Arlovski is mentally flaky which is why he looses I mean Silvia...Tim Silvia beat him!!!!

Who wins this fight could be determind by which Arlovski shows up.

He's not really under the radar.. unless you never watched Pride.

He kind of disappeared after pride though.. and got fat.

ahahah money in the bank. This is basically why I placed my bet. 3 KO losses in a row, fighting against a guy who knocked out Overeem, this guy is going down.

All that dude did was box. And he was slow as **** comparitively speaking to professional fighters and had little to no headmovement.

He was basically a basic boxer that could probably take a beating, yet he beat the **** out of veteran Arvloski, who is known for his striking.

I just can't see how people can argue that a guy like Tyson, if he learned some wrestling and takedown defense wouldn't be a completely dominant force.

In a boxing ring, this guy would have been decimated in one round by Tyson.

LOL, I mean, he could be a dominant force if he was fighting a guy like Arlovski and Arlovski didn't try to take the fight down.

Any top HW wrestler would make short work of him.

I think it's mostly just racism.

I mean, anybody with two eyes can tell you that these guys are not the best level athletes or even close.

That Russian mother ****er was a SLOTH with no footwork or headmovement. With the best traning in the world, he may be able to reach an Ornelas type of level, but even that's a stretch.

So you get a great athlete like Tyson who as amazing speed, power, and strenght, and you learn him in some wrestling skills, and take down defense, and you don't think he would dominate these slow dudes with his striking?

    You're ****in crazy.

Ya'll are probably the same people that agree to the argrument that the US doesn't produce athletes like the Klitschko's when guys in the NBA and NFL even more athletic than the Klitschko's are a dime a dozen.

Did you see James Toney? He was fat as hell, old as hell, with NO experience in MMA, goin against one of the best ever in the sport, especially at wresting which is the main thing that James knew the least in.

You don't think athletes like Tyson could do this ****?

You know, most mother ****ers out there don't feel the need to prove themselves cuz they secure in their manhood, but ya'll keep pushin this agenda, ya'll gonna be in tears again like ya'll were in Jack Johnson's era.

    It's all that talkin...

Kharitonov would take a guy like Klitschko and probably make him his *****. (that is....with a real , solid gameplan)...It's mma not boxing.

Here's what Kharitonov did against a 2m14 tall K1 champ

he simply took it on the ground

You'd have to be naive to believe Sergei would just stand there like an easy target against professional boxers....He's a sambo artist...grappling is his specialty He'd probably play it safe ....it just take the boxer on the ground where he'd be helpless

And I understand that, you gotta be well rounded, but what I'm sayin is against a Klitschko in the boxing ring if Wlad decided to not fight like a *****, he would knock him out in 1 round.

It's just that I don't see a great athlete. He may be a great fighter, but that's his path he chose. I think if you took some athletes off the gridiron and redirected their path, they would be killers in MMA.

The problem is that you don't just "teach takedown defense." The top heavyweight wrestlers (like Cain Valasquez) will simply take down anyone they want at will. These Strikeforce heavyweights aren't the best examples because many are strikers, who if they went toe to toe with a heavyweight boxer, could be in some trouble. But the UFC is filled with top-notch wrestlers at every weight level who would mow over any top strikers from boxing to K1.
