Don't quote bullsh!t, fraudulent CompuBox numbers. They are never accurate. Video analyze the fight yourself sometime. The judges got it right. People lose credibility when they go counting CompuBox numbers. CompuBox is the same company that had Calzaghe landing 200+ punches on Hopkins when video analysis of the fight didn't show him landing 48, had Mayorga landing 40 power punches through four rounds on Forrest in their rematch when he hadn't landed 15 punches period at that point in the fight, and had Pacman landed something outrageous on Clottey. CompuBox is garbage. Kovalev didn't win the fight unless he gets a x3 multiplier on his punches.

Christ you're stupid. That's neither here nor there. The fact is Ward aka Mr ''Dare to be great'' wouldn't agree to fight anyone under such unfavourable conditions in a million years. He always has to have the deck stacked heavily in his favour before he agrees to sign on the dotted line. He wouldn't ever agree to it even if Kovalev did fight in his homeland.

When did I say Ward dares to be great? You're arguing with someone else from a while back lol Kovalev has definitely overcome more odds than Ward.

Fair scoring. I had Ward wider. I tend not to give the power puncher multipliers on their punches if they don' stagger the opponent. Ward outlanded him in most rounds, and outworked him in damn near every round outside the 10th in the second half.

You shouldn't be surprised by CompuBox. It is just two idiots sitting ringside watching the fight with the same sh!tty one sided view as each of the judges. CompuBox historically is grossly inaccurate. CompuBox number never reflect punch counts done upon video review of fights.

Makes you wonder what Hopkins from the Tarver fight would have done to Kovalev.

This fight turned out like a always knew it would. Kovalev is at fault in this loss. Hell yeah the scoring is bias for the USA fighter but the same **** happens when a American fights overseas. I don't care how many rounds Kovalev won he was not winning on the cards. Kovalev had to win by KO to win this fight and he didn't go for it. Boxing has always been corrupt and it always will be. If they have a rematch the result will be the same. If you are really pissed off at the sport stop buying PPV events. I had the fight a draw BTW. But Ward is one hell of a boring fighter that lacks power. Kovalev had his chances but he failed. Ward did not have the power to hurt Kovalev so why didn't Kovalev go for the KO?

If you listen to John David Jackson's interviews. Kovalev is one stubborn dude. It showed in the fight. JDJ even told him to stop clinching and box on the outside or whatever, and what did Kovalev do? He took his clinching to the 2nd power and turned it into wrastlin. Which lost him rounds again and again, because while he is grabbing, and wrastling, he isn't being offensively effective. He isn't even scoring. Had Kovalev stayed outside and controlled the distance. He would have stopped Ward inside of four or five rounds. Ward had trouble with Kovalev's footwork, reach, power, timing and boxing ability. Kovalev was too head strong though. Listen to your fvcking coach.

Rounds 7,8 and 9 were the only clear Ward rounds. Highway robbery. At times like these I don't why I bother with boxing.

I had ward winning the third and then almost every round from 5 on. It wasn't pretty or wide but he outboxed kov in most senses. Got his defensive distance and timing right, chopped up in the clinches and basically kept the fight on his terms.
Kov was lured into wards world, he was doing good in the clinches early but got busted up as the fight progressed and I think that was key for ward as kov was only successful going forward but if he did then it was nullified by the clinch fest.
Having said all above, ward probs deserved to loose a point for his takedown attempts.

Observations on tonight's fight. 1. Andre Ward showed he is a terrific fighter by coming back to be competitive after a very rocky first 4 rounds. 2. I picked Ward to win this fight and I was wrong. He lost, even tho the judges say otherwise. 3. two of the judges had the first 4 rounds for Kovalev then scored only one more round for Sergey. Absurd to say he only won 1 of last 8 rounds. 4. The knockdown should have been the difference in this fight. IMO The BEST u can do for... Andre is make it 6-6 in rounds That would be 114-113 for Kovalev. I could see giving Andre one of 1st 4 rds, but even then he would have to win 6 of last 8 to win decision.I just don't see that. Kellerman said this was not a bad decision just a controversial one. I disagree. Because of how hard it is to get to a Ward win with that knockdown and quick start for Kovalev, I would call this is a bad decision. 5. The fight itself was well fought and very interesting. Not a fight of yr. candidate but a very, very good fight.
