Martinez didn't quit on his stool. His corner stopped it. He sure as heck didn't want that.

"Martinez was unable to continue" is the ruling per Buffer. :conf

Look at this past Thursday, with Alexis Santos getting into a screaming argument with his entire corner, wanting to continue while badly injured. They were insisting on pulling him, and he put his foot down and said "No! You work for me..."

A fighter - unless he is suffering massive blood loss or woozy - is never a slave to his corner's wishes.

    I think you're probably right.

I really feel for GGG if that's the case. It really isn't fair that Cotto was allowed to come up to a division he'd never fought in to face a shot Martinez. GGG earned his shot.

Doubt it. Canelo or Mayweather. GGG is a high-risk, low reward fight for Cotto.

    It would be good business.

That's the best fight for Mayweather right now, but Canelo-Cotto.

Canelo-Cotto would better. Winner gets Mayweather.

He didn't quit. His chief second stopped the fight.

Floyd would easily beat cotto. Floyd will target cotto now, easy way to get the middleweight championship
