How about take some objectivty from the #1 fan of his #1 Rival these days....

Sergio deserves a break. It's not even up for debate! Only in Booradleyland does anyone think Martinez hasn't proven himself to be a legit figter with a lot of heart and a will to do what's good for the sport.

You should be the last guy to defend this nonsense.

All Martinez has to do is figure out who stoled his testicles, and Paul Williams is the next middlewewight champ.

A middleweight title fight is both boxers being able to weigh 160. A fight at 155 is 5 pounds off that, not 1.

That said, who would blame Martinez making some good money at this stage of his career after the fights he's had? Tough crowd!!

De La Hoya was 155, Hopkins was 156 at the scales before the first all 4 organizations unification fight in boxing history. It was still a middleweight fight. What is exactly your point?

C'mon man, You think a guy who fought Cintron, Williams, and Pav his last three is scared? Terrible comment, even if you don't agree with Shane as a possible opponent.

Martinez got beat half to death by Margarito, and then pissed away the majority of his career fighting hobos and bag ladies. As a consequence he never made any real money. So now he "deserves" to beat up on Shane Mosely becauses it's profitable? You guys make me want to puke!

How did he **** his career away? Guys of his stature (at the time) can only takes the fights offered. Oh sure, he could have cried about what he deserves like a bunch of others do, but no, he just acted as a pro and fought on. You realize most guys are more in his boat then those who have HBO dates saved for them.

And you seem to want to forget who his last three opponents were. Three tough fights, and Shane is by no means an easy fight BTW.
