i was scared Pavlik had the size and power yo stop him late but man it looked like Segio remembered the cintron and Williams decisions and thought '**** this im going all out.'
To be honest, not sure why people bring up the Williams fight. It was a close ass, hard fought match. I don't want to ruin that amazingly kickass of a fight. Nonetheless, Martinez is the man and I want to see him fight Williams again for another spectacular match again.
Definately. Well said, E. He went crazy in the 9th, and even after he gassed a bit late he showed tremendous courage and a brilliant poker face standing straight in front of Pavlik. Martinez is well and truly much better than I would have dreamed. This guy has it all. Guts and talent. Amazing fighter.
Yep. This and the fact he listened to his corner. If you guys remember, after the 8th his trainer told him 'double the jab and throw the straight left, not looping left'. And he went out and did it consistently, adding more punches to the mix as his confidence grew. Brilliant stuff from the Argentine. :yep
