    you can't blame him.

why go for an 800K+ purse when he can possibly take 5M+?

You really think this is what Sergio said or thought? :rofl :nut :nut Martinez is after the money, Martinez is not out to protect his losses. The only ones who can deliver the amount of cash he is looking for are Pac/Mayweather. I will give it to you, though, Pac reached his limit already and its at 150lbs but Sergio keeps on asking for a fight at 154lbs since Pac fought there already. Nothing wrong with requesting a fight with the current CASH COW of boxing at a weigh he fought once before! I know he won't get it because of what we already know, Pac reaching his limit, and also because Roach won't allow the fight against Martinez because he knows this won't be a walk in the park like the Margarito fight.

As for Mayweather, it is more doable but as we know Mayweather he won't take the fight either. And I don't blame him. Beside Pac, Martinez is another threat that can take that "0" away from him and he won't risk it. Cotto won't fight him either, not because he is scared but because his promoter has other plans for himself $$$$, I mean, other plans for Cotto. Margarito....well lets just say that is part of the plan of Arum :yep with Cotto.

I do agree, Martinez should stop requesting the fights, since we know by now they won't happen. Now fighters like Abraham at 160lbs or a Paul Williams 3 would give him the most money, IMO, not named Pac/Mayweather/Cotto. Pirog will be a good fight for us the fans but a fight he shouldn't take now that he is on top and ready to retire in about 2 years. He is looking for retirement money and there is nothing wrong with that.

    wtf?

Sergio should be requesting fights with Pirog????

Seriously, Ive never seen so many people call for the third p4p and an undisputed champion to go request fights with a guy whos had one decent win in his entire career..... Pirog is an awesome 'on the verge' type fighter, but really.... its a no brainer that Martinez would be going for Mayweather.....

Pirog can go out and actually beat an established fighter before getting to face a top p4p and undisputed champion like Martinez.

I seriously cant believe people **** on Martinez for calling out the two best fighters in the world, both who have held 'titles' at a weight class he can fight them at. People need to get a grip.

Just out of interest how much do you weigh? say for example 160-175? if so why dont we put you in the ring with Pascal, Froch, Martinez, abraham? i would pay to see a lot of internet warriors against boxers . . . stops all the bitching going on and gives people like you a better respect and understanding of the sweet science

Totally agree with you :good I dont mind and understand sergio trying to get a fight with the 1&2, but to rubbish pacs previous opponent is dumb , specially when you know the fight cant be made because if the weight issue. To rubbish Pacs opponents to make yourself look better only made him look like a fool

If all weights were equal, pac by ko

How the hell is a guy asking for "big fights" when he has yet to even do a PPV?

Sergio needs to go spark Pirog, and then the AA. All of it on PPV. Then he can call out "little" fellas.

Sergio is looking for a payday. It's not going to happen though. Both Mayweather and Pacquiao have better options than going up in weight to fight the current MW champ. And frankly, it's no surprise that Sergio is getting criticized for this move. He's going after guys two weight classes below him; both of whom have already gone up several weight classes.

I've decided that Martinez is mildly ******ed, and truly does not understand the concepts behind P4P ratings. Sergio believes that moving up the P4P rankings means beating the guys ranked above you even if those guys are at their best 2 or 3 divisions below you.

Fighting AA who has had his ass beat in back to back fights is more credible than fighting Manny or Pac? SMFH, so people man...some people.

He's at the top as a MW and with wins over Pavlik, Williams(only man to stop him), and Dzinziruk(toke his 0), he can say what he wants. Are you going to shut his mouth?lol I think not.

Really, didn't Manny "win" the belt that Sergio vacated when he had to move up to 160 to get a fight with Pavlik? Does Manny not claim to have held the 154 pound belt? Ok thanks, please STFU with the butthurt crying bull****. This is boxing, if Manny has a problem with Sergio calling him out, then man up and shut him up, point blank.
