He could also fight someone easier and eventually get a shot at the title anyway. Don't forget, Sergio got an unearned title shot against Vernon Forrest, and was on the verge of a fight with Pavlik, before Kelly pulled out with his infected arm.

He also turned down Taylor back in 07 and also Martinez this year.

    Mora is a douche.

Clever move from his management.. It is not unlikely that Golovkin would beat him.... Mora will get his shot without taking such a risk....

Of course for fans all these "tactical" decisioning sucks..

GG has too much schooling, strength, and power for mora to handle.
Mora is irrelevant in elite boxing which GG is headed to in the next 18-24 months. Mora has some marketabilty due to the contender and catching
an old vernon unprepared. Forrest showed us what mora was about in the rematch, and GG is a young undefeated strong middleweight who happens to be one of the greatest 165lb amatuers of all time. Mora would lose right now to GG IMO.

Its a shame but Mora would be a heavy underdog against Golovkin.
I certainly wouldn't take the fight if I was Mora's manager.

It's a shame, I was looking for some easy money and Mora's name would've given me better odds on Golovkin.

Mora has to be a complete ******. Pavlik is never going to fight him unless he becomes the mandatory, so it makes no sense to turn this down.

Actually the fact that Mora is with Dunkin now makes the fight much easier to negotiate. The real problem is that KP doesn't plan on any "stay busy" type fights in the near future. He won't fight Mora unless Mora becomes the mandatory.

Mora turned down a title shot with Taylor because he didn't want to fight in the CHAMPION'S hometown :rofl:rofl Mora's such a clown
