Who? Who's better than Hatton, Margarito, Cotto and Clottey in that weight range? Who's in that range that even approaches JMM, EM or MAB p4p? NOBODY!!! Everyone left outside of PBF is a step down in competition. The only man still left standing is PWill, who's fighting for the ****ing MW title in his next fight. Even if Pac fights him and wins you'll just say that Martinez took everything out of PWill lol

Funny thing is had Pac never fought the fighters they mentioned that were "washed up," they would've claimed that Pac ducked them. It all goes both ways.

besides, we didn't expect the weight difference to be 17 lbs (148 vs 165). no wonder pac was hurt by margo's shots.

You don't really expect an FMJ lover to give Manny props? They're blind, deluded and obviously full of ****. They're no fans of boxing, that's certain.

    Off topic:

Watching this clip made me feel emotional, somehow.

    His ring entrance yesterday..

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BGx9xDiKKU[/ame]

    Feels so surreal.

I can almost imagine Manny and Buboy, walking into the arena, seeing the thousands of people in attendance,And "Karate Kid" song playing in the background.

I see flashbacks of when they were anonymous, hungry nobodies, readying for a pro fight in Manila, fighting in outdoor basketball courts for a few hundred pesos and a plastic trophy.

And now we're in Cowboy Stadium.

    Wow.

    What a ****ing journey.

Thats the cool thing about Pac....even when he's a 6-1 favorite u always get a sense or feeling he's the underdog. His backstory, his small size, third world upbringing. U cant help but root for someone who fights for more than himself.

...the karate kid song was so appropriate. I liked the ACDC too at the beginning.

Last time I checked Shane Mosley wasn't hurt by margarito. Also shane knocked Margo ass out. Something Pac didn't do.

Now the thing is this, I've started to realize that Pac going to war and destroying margo in that ring while taking punishment helps over exaggerate the significants of that win. Someone like Margo being able to land on Pac automatically means to some fans Margo was in the best shape of his life. These notions are false.

Like floyd has said before there is nothing cool about taking punishment. And I've come to realize is not even about who floyd is fighting it's about the style in which he fights them. Floyd went toe to toe with Mosley something he rarely would have done at this stage of his career and got caught. Sure he whooped his ass but he took a shot he didn't need to take and wouldn't have taken if he was the usual floyd mayweather.

Pac style is fan friendly, which is why his victories are hyped up so much. When a knowledgable boxing fan tells you margo had no chance, pac is to quick and is to explosive to let margo pin him down, mosley fast hands detonated on margo skull so what do you think Pac would do, you guys don't want to hear it and instead pretend that pac is the underdog when in fact he is the favourite to win quite easily.

Pac was outweighed by 17 pounds.
He virtually didn't clinch/wrestle Margarito (because he can't, being outweighed by 17 lbs).
He chose to trade with a much bigger man when he didn't have to just for the fans.
He let off the gas pedal in the late rounds and kept asking the ref to look at Margo.
Margarito didn't have to lose 35 pounds for this fight.
Margarito didn't have to go to 147, which is what Freddie wanted him to be in.
Margarito didn't have someone saying to re-wrap his hands again this time.

Mosley didn't knock Margarito out cold. He tired him with body shots before he went for the TKO stoppage.

Pacquiao stopped going for the body a lot after the fourth round (which is what made Mosley force Margarito out of the fight completely) and went headhunting instead, which was the wrong strategy.

    And still he won convincingly.

There's a lot of advantages going for Margarito in this fight than he had with his fight against Mosley. And there's a lot of stupid things Pacquiao did that he shouldn't have done.

Those things make this victory far more special than Mosley's win over Margarito. Not taking anything away from Mosley, but that's just how it goes.

He was expected to win but not in that manner. He showed his heart by willing to trade with a hard puncher like marg

How many welterweights fights had Mosley had? How many light middle? Did Mosley weigh in 6 pounds lighter? Did Margo outweigh Mosley by 16 pounds? And Floyd beating up an old, inactive Mosley over exaggerates the significance of the win. Floyd was also a massive favourite..

Floyd beating up on old mosley was not significant. Floyd told you this himself. Shane mosley was washed up with 5 losses and wanted his biggest pay day. The fans responded by saying floyd was scared. He also said when he wins he would get no credit and guess what he was right.

Now do I see that mosley win as significant? Hell no, but the fans did and I guess that's what matters.

Back to Pac. You keep mentioning the weight advantage Margo had, yet you fail to mention the speed advantage pac had by weighing so light. Margo who is notably slow on his best of days couldn't keep up with pac's movement which was obviously to any boxing fan who actually studies the sport.

So if the achievement is that pac beat a boxer 17lbs heavier than him. Then yes I guess that is an achievement but lets not get carried away to how big of an achievement that is, especially to a limited boxer of margo calibre who got knocked out by an old mosley.

    Who then?

    Name some names.

I think that he should move down to 140 and clean up the few top guys quickly then retire. If one or two of those guys (like Hopkins for RJJ) become great than he will have another great on his resume.
