I just quickly brought up them up on a search, im not trying to prove anything, i know who won the fight as i watched it!! If you thought dirrell won his fight then you surely must think kotelnik won too?? Right??

 

Because neither of these things in terms of tangible numbers equate into scoring a boxing match. The accumulation of punches landed is the most overrated number in boxing, and the "better" shots is a matter of opinion or judgement. To answer your question you win more rounds that's how, it has nothing do with what you are talking about.

 

Listen HBO punch stat stated Alexander won the power punch stat, just like they stated Kotelnik won the overall punch stat.Kotelik is no bum he beat the hard punching Maindana ( however you spell it) and took the running Khan the distance and had over 500 amateur fights and won a silver medal. But, in saying all that Devon won!

 

Yes and kotelnik won more rounds, in fact the only clear rounds i gave to devon were 3 and 9, a couple more were very close and the rest to kotelnik, how you score it?

 

No not at all...I thought Dirrell won. Alexander could have lost that fight, but Kotelnik faught in spurts, he allowed Alexander to out work, out hussle him consistantly. If Kotelnik had come out from the opening bell and took the fight to Alexander the entire fight instead of 30 seconds per round, he would have won IMO, I think he was in a postion in the late middle rounds where he could have taken the fight, but he chose to coast instead of going and taking what he wanted. That's HIS fault, it's no different than Hopkins allowing JT to take his belts because he was too reserved, too methoidcal, too lazy and allowed the younger man to simply outwork him.

Also, the way Dirrell fights and Kotelnik fights is night and day. In saying all that Dirrell was sticking and moving and made Carl froch looking like an amateur in there. Showtime didn't have punch stats results if they did it would have shown Dirrell double the thrown and connect percentage as well as power punch connect.

for starters Kotelnik has better footwork than Dirrell.

and whilst we are talking about robberies etc, and before I'm accussed of being a home town supporter ala Forch, I had Dirrell winning that fight by 2 rounds.

They are no longer credible sources then if they scored it for alexander the guy won no more than 3 rounds.

 

this is the reason why you never bet against the house fighter because all the close rounds will go to the house.

i had Cloud -280 and was never in doubt of the outcome minus a KO. although i thought he won, it was in no way 116-112.

i though kotelink/alexander could have gone either way...except that it was in alexanders house.

Dont agree with you, i think the story of the fight was trying to find rounds to give to alexander, he hit glove and forearm all night!! He was out boxed and out thought in there, kotelnik had him on the back foot and he looked uncomfortable all night, add to that he barely landed any good clean shots, unlike his opponent who landed plenty
