Shane UD. Sweet pea was awesome at 135 but so too was Shane. Plus Shane could crack at that weight and was a great body puncher which is what would be needed to give Pea problems since you wouldnt be able to find his head. Also take into account that Shane was just as fast as Pea. Either way it would had been a great fight.
THis would be a more interesting fight at 135. At 147. I'd pick Shane it would bea close fight and he would win based on aggression.
mosley takes it UD, mosley was just as fast and had better power. whitakers reflex would work but majority of tyms mosleys speed will catch him. Whitaker is one of my favourite fighters ever buh thats what i feel would happen
Pea. Sure Shane is hella fast but slower, less skilled fighters then Pea have been able to negate it and show Shane technical limitations. Whitaker took on some pretty fast fighters during his career, with better all around skills then Shane and was able to handle them to a near shutout. I do think Shane's physical abilities dont make it easy for Pea..causing him to fight pretty conservatively but in the end he takes a pretty clear decision.
Shane wouldn't get past that jab enough to work his combos, as he'd be countered before he was able to set well enough to fire them off. His open defense would be target practice for Pea's jab. And even if Shane was able to make his way in and was a more powerful puncher, Whitaker was the more skilled in-fighter. Pea by comfy UD at LW or WW. Shane was a very good fighter at both weights (probably better at WW), but wins over a fighter like Margarito and a fighter like Pea aren't even comparable, you have to realize that. edit: What I meant by the bit in parenthesis is that Shane was better at WW than he was at LW, not that he was better than Whitaker at WW.
