This might help clarify all this blood, urine, saliva, semen... Schaefer "Now that I've learned more about this, boxing now will have an outspoken advocate for blood testing in the sport," Schaefer said. "I plan to ask Nevada to have Travis Tygart explain why blood tests are necessary. This is not about hitting a baseball, throwing a football or hitting a puck. This is a sport that's mano-a-mano, with guys hitting each other's heads. It's important that the strongest testing possible is in place." Arum "No. 2, we would agree to take the blood test in January within 30 days of the fight and any other random blood tests that the Nevada State Athletic Commission elected to do without a timeline," said Arum. "We're so confident that the Nevada Commission would do the right thing that we don't have to put a timeline in there." Kizer GL: As of now have any petitions been filed? KK: "No."
and this all i needed to hear how impartial you are. pacquiao has now evolved into a boxer-puncher of some sort and if you think that he is all brute force, you are either blind or ******ed.
can you at least post something about how PEDs have helped boxers caught using such? from what i read, its the other way around with boxers.
I don't disagree but it doesn't prove anything. It's still suspicion. Sugar Ray Leonard moved up from welter to super middle, Hearns from welter to cruiser, Armstrong from feather to middle. What Pacquiao is doing has been done before. Are you ready to accuse people like Henry Armstrong too? It's a joke.
Armstrong was clearly juicing, are you kidding me? He never passed a single USADA adminstered random blood test.
Let's not be silly here, there are far more drugs available these days, and the testing capacities are also far more advanced. I get what you're saying, but that's ancient history, the modern context is different. Maybe Armstrong was carrying brass knucks - who knows, and really, who cares. You can't point to 1 person that would be 100 years old to show the commonality of a situation. If Armstrong accomplished that today, he would be under suspicion. But he didn't. That's basically what I see wrong with Pacfan arguments: they ignore environmental circumstances, and claim that it is personal bias, racism, and global jealousy that is the cause of the suspicion. Mayweather Sr is no expert, but he's not saying anything that requires a doctorate. It's fairly obvious observation. Many people don't really care either way, but are for the tests because of reasonable suspicion. I don't like Pac only in relation to Marquez, where I think he received a gift draw and decision, and his decision to not fight him for a third time immediately after. In other circumstances there is no bias against him.
DLH looked badly out of place at 160. Mayweather did not belong at 154. As they went up, knockout power, speed, and explosive power diminished. Same thing with Mosley. All 3 of those fighters looked less agile, less explosive and less destructive as they moved up in weight. It's almost as if you're baiting me into praising Pacquiao? His accomplishments are superior, especially given their 18 months span. It's not the same.
