Multiple media outlets are reporting that the fight is close to being made a done deal should Mosley beat Berto later this month. Before we get carried away, nothing has been signed yet and, as importantly, Mosley could still lose to Berto (however unlikely that prospect is).

Thoughts on this? First of all, I just hope it happens as it's a fantastic fight and still as important now than it ever has been. Secondly, props to PBF if he takes the fight; these are the kind of fights we want to see him in and it would be refreshing to see him take on such a fight. Thirdly, if someone told me last year that this year we'd finally have a Mosley-PBF fight to look forward to, I would have been chuffed as ****. Sure, it's not Pacquiao-PBF, but what a kick-ass fight this actually is if it goes through. I'd say this is by far the best alternative to a Pacquiao-PBF fight out there.

As an aside, there is talk of JMM's next bout being on the undercard as the May 1st date at the MGM was originally his. Thoughts?:good

Ok if true that would be an awesome fight. Depends though if Mosley gets by Berto. Go Mosley! If Mayweather takes on Mosley that would do a lot to restore is image as someone "protecting" his "0".

Another thought is will Mayweather want olympic style testing since Mosley is a "confirmed" user of steroids?

Glad to ****ing hear it. This is the ONLY fight that makes sense for Floyd. Anything less and he is scum of the earth. If Mosley beats Berto then Mosley vs Floyd can do BIG BUSINESS. Should do 1.5 million buys if sold correctly with a decent undercard.

They are talking about JMM vs Katsidis on the undercard. That is a SICK fight.

Boxing, step up and make **** happen.

If true, a hell of a fight. If Mosley looks the bollocks against Berto and Floyd agrees to fight, he will get a lot of credit from me even though I hate the loathsome little ****.

I'll believe it when it's signed and sealed. This is Floyd we're on about after all.

Don't get excited guys, Floyd won't fight a guy as dangerous as Shane.

I would love to see that fight. Katsidis well deserves a shot, plus he is the WBO's mandatory challenger as well.

However, the talk of Marquez facing Hatton won't subside either. If Marquez doesn't face him surely he should vacate his WBA/WBO/Ring titles and let the likes Valero, Katsidis, DeMarco, Peterson etc get their chance.

Hmm that would be a great fight if Shane wins his Berto fight.
Khan may be on undercard vs Paulie then ???

Valero vs anyone is guaranteed excitement. But hittable as he is, I reckon Kaysidis would do him.

I suppose when Pac returns following another political foray, him vs the winner of Shane/Floyd (doubtful it'll happen IMO) and that in November would arguably be bigger than what Pac-Floyd would've been in March.

Imagine if Mosleys workrate, iron chin and fast hands somehow saw him through to a decision over Mayweather.

Mosley Vs Manny would be a sight to behold:deal

The beauty about Katsidis is he comes in shape and he comes to fight. Even if he loses he goes out on his shield like a true warrior. Marquez is hittable and Katsidis is tenacious. Great fight.

With Khan having signed to GBP, I'd be suprised if GBP didn't try to make that fight. They could put it in Wembley and sell out 100,000. They could put it in MEN and sell out however many that holds. PPV sales would easily break records. If they put it on at 10 then it should sell 4 mil or something crazy.

Agreed on Katsidis. JMM has compensated for losing half a step in old age by being more aggressive and engaging his opponents more.

Katsidis will have success in the early going, and is not a complete Caveman and will undoubtedly made a mid-round adjustement and bring his workrate down a bit as he goes into the mid-rounds to combat Marquez's slight edge in the first 5.

But Marquez will find a way. And wen he starts to get to Katsidis the Aussie will fire back.

It's there that Marquez landsthe quality shots.

    Marquez in 7.

it would mean Katsidis stepping up in weight, which I don't think will happen. He has yet to win a full ABC strap and his best bet is at Lightweight I feel.

the IBF title is vacant at the minute and no fight has been arranged, I don't think to fill it.
