Marquez-Katsidis is a cracking fight!! Total war but I think Marquez wins.

Imagine Sky putting Mosely-Floyd with Marquez-Katsidis on PPV with Warren providing a stacked UK leg. Quality :yep

When is Reyes-Funeka? I'm not that certain that Funeka is any more sturdy than Julio Diaz but he uses his size well, is fast and crisp with his punches, and importantly he has heart.

I think he'll finally get the meaningless bauble he deserved against Guzman and had a shout in against Campbell.

Funeka vs Valero/Demarco winner or vs Soto or Katsidis/Marquez winner: the lightweight division needs some clarity, bar Marquez it's all over the place.

 

Now that is something that I would stump up £15 for that would be awesome sadly I don't see it happening I don't trust Floyd. Also I don't think relations between Golden Boy and Frank Warren are too good for some reason.

 

Gary Shaw wanted Funeka/Reyes on the Valero/DeMarco undercard but Ali's African promoter ****ed something up and now it's going to purse bids.

 

Glad to see some comments on JMM still keeping his date and being on the undercard here as well:good. Katsidis is the most logical fight out there, but I did read a quote from JMM the other day and he mentioned Valero as a possible opponent. So many good options for him at 135 at the moment:deal.

I'd happily pay for the card if it turned out like it's been mooted thus far. In a bout involving my two favourite fighters, Marquez-Katsidis would be extremely entertaining for the first half of the fight, but I see no other outcome other than a JMM win. I'd say he wins comfortably on points after pulling away in the second half of the fight.

I just hope all this pans out as - these words usually kill fights - 'it seems too good to be true'. I just hope it all happens and we aren't disappointed yet again by boxing politics. Let's face facts, if PBF doesn't fight the Mosley-Berto winner after the Pacquiao disaster, he'll be taken to the cleaners by everyone for not taking the most logical fight out there and for taking an, arguably, softer touch on elsewhere. Mosley-PBF is such an interesting fight and it has to happen, IMO. PBF will get nothing but **** forever if he didn't take this fight considering his current alternatives.

Sounds like maybe Funeka vs Valero IS being lined up for sometime laterthis year, or at least was.

If Funeka can survive the first few rounds he can land his nice combos and his right hand down Valeros southpaw stance as he cones in, or use his fairly decent movement to turn Valero and stop him planting his feet.

Good fight only because Funeka seems quite shaky, coupling that with Valeros scary style you'd have to wonder whether Funeka would wilt under the early storm.

But Funeka would be the beat fighter Valero has faced, Funeka has some nice shots of his own and I don't see an iron chin on Valero, he's not infallible and technically it's a mismatch, if Funeka had a decent bears it wouldn't be worth debating.

So Valero in two or Funeka in six

I think Floyd would beat Mosely something like 8-4 on the cards. However, Floyd hasn't faced a welter as good as Shane and with Brother Nazim preparing his gameplan you never know...

Floyd UD would still be my pick but Mosely would ask him a lot of questions and test his heart IMO. That said, I'd love it if Shane wins :happy

Marquez has too much class for Katsidis and whilst it would be an entertaining fight I see JMM building up a lead and stopping Katsidis late on.

Agree with that. I reckon Mosley is being severly over-rated by some following his performance vs Margarito, whilst undoubtedly very good, Margarito's style was absolutely made for a speedy, powerful guy like Shane.

Can see Mayweather-Mosley being similar to when Floyd fought Judah, Shane to have success early on whilst Floyd adjusts to Mosley's style and Floyd takes over in the 2nd half of the fight.

 

GBP have put on good undercards and the mosley berto undercard is pretty solid so i reckon they will follow suit and make another good one should pbf mosley happen, i reckon berto could spoil it all for us though like judah mayweather

 

As no-one else has brought it up, I will: If the fight does indeed go ahead, I hope Olympic-style drug testing is introduced up until and immediately after the fight. If PBF takes the tests then it just proves he's willing to do what he's asking of others; if Mosley takes them as well it shows he has nothing to hide. If both partake in Olympic-style drug testing I hope it will also set a precedent for the sport and it will also put others in a position where they will have to do it as a precedent will have hopefully been set:deal. I genuinely believe Pacquiao is innocent and isn't on PEDs, but I do think that his legacy has now been tarnished to an extent by him refusing to take the tests out of principle.

 

Looks like Mosley-Berto is off for the Haitian earthquake. Maybe this could be pulled forward? :think
