I wouldn't mind seeing Ike and Cotto.

Shane lost to 2 taller fighters with pretty good jab - and came very close to beating Cotto.

    Shane wins this one.

Apart from the jab and a pretty heavy right hand Quartey doesnt have anything else that would trouble Shane, mainly because he doesnt throw enough leather( mixing it up, he fights pretty much one paced). Quarteys footwork isnt the best i could just see Mosley hurting him and stopping him late, to much speed and just enough power!

Isn't that the exact same style that Quartey is? And no, he wasn't close to beating Cotto.

Ike was also past his prime, fighting a bigger man with the same style in Winky. How could he have won?

Ike had the jab, the reach, and the style to neutralize Shane's boxer/brawler style.

I still think a prime (pre shoulder) Vernon beats Ike clearly.
Vernon and Winky had height and size advantage over Shane that Ike would not have.

Its a good debate and we'll never know for sure. . . but a match between Shane and Ike this year would still be a pretty good scrap.

mosley's defense is leaky, where'as ike's is pretty tight..and he's too vulnerable to the jab, a punch that ike is very consistant with. I don't think mosley is more powerful and i absolutely don't think he's stronger either.

    horrible matchup for mosley IMO

Man, and I just got through saying in the other thread how Quartey-Mayorga would have me emotionally torn!:lol: :patsch

I can see reasons why either guy could win this honestly. And no that isn't a cop-out due to my not wanting to pick one. :yep

Ok thats old now. Why continue with it? Is it because you yourself is black?

N/E way Mosley would struggle against Ike

Id like Quartey to win in this fight and knock Mosley out but I think its not gonna happen. Ike and ODLH may have the same power and Oscar wasn't able to knock Mosley out.. So Mosley will win this one with his flurries but certainly wont be able to hurt Quartey.

I'm surprised by the one-sided poll.

Quartey would give Mosley hell with his jab and great straight right hand. I think he'd win a UD.
