Malignaggi couldn't bust a grape in a fruit fight. He was a non-threat to Hatton in terms of hurting Ricky. Hatton liked going after belts with the least resistance attached to them i.e. Maussa, Urango, Castillo. It's a fact. You can't dispute Ricky's carefully managed career.
So well managed he went for a unification in his first fight rather than the usual pudding of a first defence?
Paulie was number 2 in the division so like it or not, it was the fight to happen. I could also find you plenty of threads on here and boxing EXPERTS and writers saying Paulie would outslick Hatton to UD. So just shut the **** up dude, give the guy his credit and crawl back into your cave.
Now I know you didn't. Don't be a Compubox *****. Hatton held the entire fight like he always does. Floyd held too--and beat Hatton at his own game. People who think that fight was close just don't know boxing and/or are Ricky fanboys. The fact remains that Ricky simply did not land any substantial punches in that fight. When Floyd decided that it was time to end it, he did; and did so easily.
Pacquiao just so happens to be the biggest fight out there for a lot of guys. Ricky and his people are willing to risk it; especially since Manny is the smaller guy. Little do they know that Manny will do to Ricky what he did to DLH. But, it is a fact that Team Hatton's contingence plan was interested in the JMM-Diaz winner. That speaks volumes about Hatton's abilities to beat the best @ 140.
Pac isn't smaller though... If anything he's bigger. You just don't get it do you, Hatton is looking for the big fights you moron, why would he make pittance on Bradley who can't attract flies to ****? when he could fight JMM or Pac for Millions?
I agree, the fight wasn't all that close. The whole fight was competitive, but I seen PBF basically playing around with Hatton. But Hatton did land some clean shots. He landed some clean body punches, dont know if you caught those or not. But Hatton was schooled in that fight. If a fighters calls out the specific name of the punch that KO'D his opponent, he schooled his opponent.
No, you know nothing. It isn't all about the money. It's about fighting the best in your respective division to PROVE that you are indeed the best in that division. Something that Hatton cannot claim IMO. He's fought marginal fighters @ 140 for years and years. And, your idea that JMM is a bigger name is laughable. When is the last time JMM fought in England? Exactly. But, Bradley' biggest win happened in England over...guess who....Hatton hater #1 Junior Witter. So, my point is, Bradley is fresh on the minds of the people of England so a Hatton-Bradley fight would be just as big if not bigger than a Hatton-JMM fight. But, that's not even really the point. The point is Hatton is obviously ducking the talent @ 140....like he has for years.
You're problem is that you think it's all about belts. It's about the fighters behind the belts. Hatton hasn't been fighting the best @ 140. It's that simple.
Umm, no. Pac is most definitely NOT bigger than Ricky. Does Pac blow up to 180lbs. between fights? No, he doesn't. If you really believe Pac is the bigger guy you really are delusional. I get it, you just don't want to admit that Hatton is avoiding the best @ 140. Sure, Hatton is going after the money, but that doesn't mean I have to like or accept it. I want to see him fight the best within his division which he has not been doing.
the only reason this fight is been considered is hatton's fans base, if this fight happens they will need a coffin ready for hatton after the fight mosley can punch prob harder than most ww collazo gave ricky trouble with his power and speed imagine what shane will cause brutal ko
People who say the fight was close like to use the excuse that the judges had it close. Well, I don't need the judges to tell me how to score a fight or how a fight is going. Hatton wasn't landing on PBF for virtually the entire fight.
