But does translate to knocking out Shannon Briggs? If he caught him early in his career in reckon he would, but after he got his asthma troubles dealt with he'd have a hard time stopping Briggs.
Briggs never lost a fight due to "asthma troubles". He was knocked out by good punches. I'm not saying he didn't have asthma, but his KO losses were because he was hit by sharp hard punches. Briggs hardly fought any good fighters his whole career. I doubt Foreman was even trying to KO him. Lewis had him down 3 or 4 times. He courageously took a beating from Vitali , but Vitali was not a KO specialist puncher, he wore guys down. Botha was no puncher. The idea that Moore can't KO Briggs is ridiculous. That's what I was responding to.
A p4p list isn't a h2h list. Being taller doesn't make a fighter bigger. Having a longer each doesn't make a fighter bigger either.
Yes, and Archie Moore happened to find the right punch often. More often than anyone else in history I think.
Really? Who's the best HW man he beat? Valdes perhaps? He couldn't knock him out despite his fearsome rep. Monzon was a killer puncher but I wouldn't pick him to knock out Briggs. Jimmy Wilde was a ko artist but I wouldn't pick him to beat Briggs.
Moore has outstanding skills, he would pick the 1D Briggs apart for a stoppage. wow if these guys like Moore are looking down on this forum fromheaven, they must all think this is some kinda comedy forum with the threads that sometimes come up.
