That article was full of nothing but excuses. If his asthma is as bad as he claims he does not need to fight. His last several fights were as boring as John Ruiz. The guy stood in the middle of the ring like a statue and threw 10 punches a round. He has also has a 2 year layoff no excuse for that. Briggs is lazy and that is why he is in the situation he is in right now. I am sick and tired of hearing about his asthma he should have remained a boxer instead of trying to be a bodybuilder. He should be no higher than 245 - 250 pounds.
Briggs was great on commentary when he filled in on Friday Night Fights. I like Briggs. I like how Briggs tells it straight. Briggs doesn't claim to be anything more than a guy looking for a one punch KO. Sometimes he gets the big KO, and sometimes he doesn't.
This is the guy who got KTFO by a shot Maskaev. Does anyone care? Lets hope his eating disorder, I mean his motivational disorder clears up.
briggs can still make noise, he can get into the top ten I am sure. Hes a better fighter than big V and is a good match or at worst a tester for the newer guys on the block I enjoy his fights hes a slow guy but sometimes that lump of muscle can whip out some nice combos,# taking about 4 fights from a tye fields to a barret to one of the lesser known russians or a ruiz could do it people have got shots for way less. The HW division as a whole is fine for briggs after the klits the difference between no 2 vitali and no 3 whomever is massive.
