something about shields rubs me the wrong way lol. so going for nikki in this one haha.

dominated round 1 for clarissa alder just standing there like a punching bag. not sure shields be able to fight at this pace for 10 rounds though.

Round 1

Shields is ripping with the 1-2, over and over, laser-accurate, fluid, and powerful. Adler steps in rhythm with her in center ring, blocking. Shields picks it up and starts to burst through, pounding Adler on the face with her 1-2s. Adler is shell-shocked and backing up. Shields continues to land the 1-2, at will, through Adler's defenses. Adler's face is now reddened. Shields knocking Adler's head back with the right cross repeatedly. Nary a counter from Adler.

Round 2

Shields is putting together strings of four or five powerful straight punches and slamming Adler clear across the ring, even partially blocked on the high turtle shell. BIG right hand by Shields has Adler sitting on the ropes momentarily, quite severely hurt. Adler still not getting off any shots of her own. Big 1-2 by Shields before the bell.

10-9 Shields, could be 10-8, which Farhood comments is a justifiable score for the 1st as well despite the lack of knockdowns.
