You think after the Jones and Hendo beatings Maurico is well and truly a spent force?

Not shot but he hasn't been in his prime for quite some time now. Since his injury.

Thanks for replying man. Was about to delete this thread on account of it being ****

Whenever Shogun loses, people say its cause of his injuries/knees. I said the same when Jones half killed him. But he took a disgustin beating in that fight. And an even worse one in with the HGH cheat Henderson

I actually wish the guy would retire, the human body wasnt designed to take that sort of punishment

I'm to selfish to want him to quit. I want a Hendo rematch! I think if he can stay healthy he has a lot to offer and could make another title run.

Shogun has to be close to it at this point. So many injuries and brutal fights.

Well, he certainly can't be compared to the Shogun who went on Pride.

When he started out in the UFC, you wouldn't have thought that he'll be submitted by Forrest right?

I wouldn't be so quick to call a guy that just went life and death with Dan Hendo Henderson in his last fight shot. He may not have the speed that he once had but he is still a strong fighter and has shown he has the endurance to fight on late into the fifth round against E-light opposition.

Still good but his injury has caught up to him. He can still beat many top 205 lbs fighter but i doubt he can beat jones.

I'm excited to see him fight thiago silva. That should be an awesome fight.

Would have been a GREAT fight in 09, now it's just a very good fight between two faded veterans
