Wow, I'd be really surprised to see if anyone's actually excited about this.
2 guys who are well past their prime, and have been beaten by Jon Jones already.
If this fight happened 6 yrs ago, I might have been excited.

Oddly enough, Bader would be most deserving if he wins.

Surely the most logical fight would be machida III(if lyoto gets by bader)

I'd be more comfortable for the winners of both matches to face off in a title eliminator. I'd watch Shogun/Machida again for 5 rounds.

**** me... I never thought I'd say this but...

Out of Shogun, Vera, Machida and Bader, Bader is the most deserving of a title shot.

(If each of them were to hypothetically win (not at the same time, literalists), Bader is the most deserving... and my head expolded)

The title of the thread should be Shogun to get title shot. Vera has no heart and never lived up to his potential. I'd be surprised if he found his courage overnight.

    True.

I would give Machida the best shot, but he would still be a huge underdog.

I would rather see someone who has not fought Jones be given a shot like Gustafoson, Davies, Glover, or even Gaygard. Maybe someone could drop down or come up. Vitor would be interesting while it lasted or a small heavyweight.

Well, assuming Rua beats Vera, who else deserves a shot at Jones more ?... Hendo beat Rua, sure... but he is next in line for a title shot, if Hendo beats Jones then Rua really has to earn the title & get revenge into the bargain... if Jones beats Hendo, same for Rua... either way you look at it, Shogun Rua is going to have to really earn the title if he is to become champ again, if he does it then nobody can say he didn`t deserve it.

Absolutely horrible. Dana changed it to best performance from 2 main events.

Sorry, what about Gustafasson? Two main events could be eliminators to fight in an eliminator. Poor choice.

Imagine if Vera gets a title shot!!!

I would enjoy watching him getting executed like the guy or not JJ puts on a pretty good fight

Very won't get the shot.... But at this point nobody has really earned a shot including Shogun. But as said above Bader would have the most recent success if he should win. but after that Gust vs Lil Nog should be for the next shot and then after that Jones would be fighting recycled guys he's already destroyed.

I agree on Gust vs Nog. Either one of those would be an interesting matchup. I'd like to see how Jones handles a submission specialist like Lil Nog.

I'm a Lil Nog fan, but I think Jones could easily do what Bader and Davis did to him, but in a much more impressive and dominant fashion.

Out of that lot, I would prefer to see the victory and title challenge of:

    1) Machida

    2) Shogun

    3) Bader

    4) Vera.

But realistically, after Machida got destroyed by Jones the first time round, I don't think a win over Bader is enough for him to get a rematch.
