Since no one will fight GGG at 160, i see nobprob with him cleaning out 168 and 175. Could be done by next year. He smashes Ward, Froch, and Stephens amd makes top p4p by next years end.
Hamed seemed a bit of a ****; so, most people don't mind him getting a bit of a pimp slap to put him in line, which is all that this amounted to. That said. A point deduction would have been reasonable.
I wonder whats worst him banging Hamed into the turnbuckle on some WWE ish, or him walking across the ring and punching JMM after he knocked him down Barrera is a true G
One of my all time favorite fights by one of my favorite fighters. I liked Hamed too though, but thought he was a bit c ocky.. I loved watching MAB put him in his place.
If Barrera gets DQ'ed for that than Naz should have been DQ'ed for pulling him down in a headlock earlier in the fight. Neither was a DQ though.
Why you asking? It's ancient history now, been and gone. 'Less you're a boxer yourself and trying to establish how viable it is as a tactic. On the night, without any doubt Barrera dominated. The result reflected this -why would you want to see it overturned on what amounts to a technicality? Yeah, it was naughty, but how many headbutts and low blows you seen get by without even a warning. To my mind a DQ should result only from a foul that causes (or has a high likelihood of causing) serious injury or a foul that irrevocably alters the course of the fight (in the offenders favour).
If it resulted in Naz being knocked out or a fight stopping cut, yes. If I was the ref I'd have taken 1, maybe 2 points for that move. Not that it would have made much difference to the scores in my eyes.
Yeah DQ the fighter that clearly won every round... and in the final round gave the idiot what he deserved for fouling him.:good
