DeGale reminded me a little of Andre Ward (minus the head butts) He should have had a point deducted for the shoulder barge. Also he was continually using his elbow & holding Groves round the back of the head whilst throwing punches. He has been doing this since he turned pro, and ive not even mentioned his open glove punching. If he ever fights away from home without a home town judge he is getting ****ed. All in all those people claiming DeGale nicked it have not mentioned the cheating. Karma is a *****!
DeGale's always done things that worried me. My posts leading up to Smith fight said about him turning people and using forearm and it coming back on him in a hard fight. He has right ideas like turning his man but is subtle because the man who's teaching him doesn't know how to box the way he's trying to. Shocked DeGale didn't wear Cleto Reyes Btw..
he was trying to draw Groves into a war and if he had been successful he would have stopped Groves imo.
yes I know and I was shouting for a deduction, but I still think that was the plan because DeGale is more tight puncher whilst Groves is a wide puncher and if they started swinging DeGale would have picked him off.
I agree with this. I backed Groves to win but it was tactics and training what won the fight for Groves. DeGale was clueless, i honestly think they only trained for one scenario. The one in which Groves would come out swinging. They had no plan B and its all McDonells fault. I sound like a broken record but he has to get sacked for this.
Foster's 3rd DeGale fight in a row. Ian John-Lewis ref'ing a Kent fighter last week when from Kent. The board needs to fix up seriously...
