Should DeGale have been warned?

    In the second round of the DeGale-Dirrell fight, after the first knockdown, DeGale hits Dirrell while the latter's knee is CLEARLY on the canvas.

    Do you think DeGale should have had a point deducted, or at least warned for hitting an opponent while he was down?

    Yeah ... but everyone hates Dirrell so it's obvious they didn't warm Degale. Pretty sure it would've been a draw / lost for degale with the point deduction.

    was in the heat of the moment, not sure if Degale realised Dirrell had gone down properly and made sure he got the extra point . . . . either way it didnt make a blind bit of difference to the fight.

    He should have been warned for doing sod all in the mid/late rounds of the fight.

    It really was an odd fight.
