As a drugs cheat I think no. I don't care when he used - nobody forced him to do it and tarnish his career and reputation. Awesome boxing ability though. A real same as he should have been a middleweight legend.

You will expect Fat Dan to stand up for his brethren...Toney is an ATG from the 20th century

Toney has been a great fighter, over it currently but deserving of recognition in the HOF

No he shouldn't not because he lacked the ability or anything in temrs of skill he would be a dead cert, but we need to send out a strong message against PEDs the same reason Mosley should not be let in, if you are caught particularly twice like James then i'm sorry you don't deserve a spot in the HOF.

So are you saying Vitali should not be considered either? Toney did it at the end of his career probably trying to make it stretch a bit longer at a high level. Vittles did it from the start and who knows if he is still on it?

Vitali never tested positive as a Pro, only as an Amateur.

so he's all good with me.

I have to agree with this. There is no way that guy should be able to pass any medical test

They cast his heavyweight accomplishments into doubt, perhaps...But they probably weren't a factor when he was a MW and SMW; and based on what he did there, he probably gets in.
