JOSHUA HAS NO REMATCH CLAUSE. Dubois had a rematch clause if Joshua won, but since Dubois won, he does not need to fight Joshua again unless he and his promoter choose to do so. This content is protected This content is protected
AJ might possibly win if he sticks to a Ruiz 2 gameplan Fights tall and very defensive - with 1-2s as his weapons
Problem for AJ is that Dubois has quick feet and a great jab. He can close the distance on AJ very quickly, unlike Ruiz.
Against the obese Mexican Joshua could adopt a simple safety first approach in the rematch and box from the outside. Which he did very well. There's no such safety first plan against Dubois who has a better jab. Joshua could start more aggressive but then is likely to get counterpunched. And he simply can't take Dubois' power. After such a demolition I can't see how Joshua wins the rematch. A money spinning final fight against the shot to smithereens Windmill may be a good alternative.
Tommy never managed to avenge his loss to Iran Barkley, and it doesn't detract from his greatness. Just highlights the nuance of the game.
I say there is a rematch clause....hearn just doesnt want joshua to exercise it because he wants to take a shopworn fury for more money instead.
Dubois or Warren would surely be wanting the rematch. Loads of cash to keep in shape for usyk or fury. The other options are boring and more risky.
Frank Warren is saying there is no rematch clause in their contract. Whatever rematch clause Hearn thinks he has is only in Joshua's contract, not Queensberry. Looks like Frank found another way to stick it to Hearn again.
