Should Machida get the next shot at Bones?

Stunning front-kick KO of Randy, the man is back in the game.

He beat the **** out of Rashad and got robbed blind against Rampage.

Should the Dragon be Jones's next challenger?

It's a much better fight than Jones-Evans (absolute walkover KO1 for Jones) or Rampage (how can you give someone a title shot off the back of a fight with Matt Hamill?!).

The only real choices are Machida or the Evans-Davis winner IMO, and Jones-Machida is a much more intriguing and potentially exciting fight.

    What you think?

It's Evan's shot to lose, so he gets it if he beats Davis.

Other than that Lyoto, yeah. Rampage wouldn't be too bad, people have had title shots coming off worse.

Machida vs. Jones would be a real good match up. I would like to see that fight.

If Evans wins against Davis, which I think he will he should obviously get the shot he's been waiting for.

If Machida wins his next fight then he should get the shot.

I still don't see what Rashad has done to get in this position. KTFO by Machida, hugged and prayed his way to two boring decisions against non-top-5-ranked Silva and a rusty as hell, toothless Rampage.

Is this what makes you an unassailable number 1 contender in the UFC's flagship division? Just don't see it myself.

Plus, Evans is absolutely tailor-made to be the easiest fight of Jones's title career. A smaller, inferior wrestler with a jaw made of crystal.

I agree with you but uncle Dana gave him the title shot and he's been waiting for a long time. I'd rather see Machida fight Jones because I think it'd make for a better fight. Machida has a unique style that could prove to be tricky for Jones.

You can't argue Rashad is undeserving of a shot based on recent results when Machida lost to Rampage and just beat a 47 year old without being hypocritical really.

Jones will destroy Rashad IMO but if he beats Davis he's got three big wins against top 5-10 guys in a row.

Nah. Machida clearly beat Rampage, and Machida KTFO Rashad. Machida is more deserving of a shot than Rashad is.

Rashad hugged and prayed his way to a points win over Silva, Machida obliterated Silva in about a minute or something.

    That's the difference.

Silva happened before Lyotos losing streak, whether he beat Rampage or not he got a bigger gift against Shogun so he can't complain too much.

So many good options at a deep weight, as an Evans fan I think he deserves it I mean he had the last shot til he had to withdraw

I love Machida. He's my most praised fighter if you read my old posts. And last not was an incredible win against a legend. But Him, Anderson, Seagal can join forces together and they will still get waxed by Jones.

Machida will give Jones a tougher fight than Evans. That much is certain.

Yes for sure based on styles. I cant even describe what would happen to Rashad:lol:, hes not close to Lyotos level as it is. Lyotos pretty tactical but Bones length, smarts, explosiveness and better cardio would doom Machida.
