Chris shadow always looms at Marquez's back. So, why are you afraid of John if you think Marquez is the better fighter? I may appear to have joined ESB later than you, but I am no noob. :deal
Somehow I doubt "losing" to John is in the forefront of Marquez's mind, nor is it a big deal to most boxing fans. If he has nothing better available, maybe that rematch happens, or if John goes out of character and starts taking out a nice string of legitimate opposition, then maybe the fight happens. This is troll material in any case, along the same lines as saying that Pac fears Marquez. If Pac beats Hatton and Marquez beats Diaz(or both guys lose), then a third fight between Pac and JMM will probably go down, as it would be one of the biggest money fights available.
How can this be a troll material when Pac-JMM rematch is the hot topic of the day? In another site, a boxing writer named Marley opined regardless of what happened in their fights, JMM-Pac 3 will still sell. But, IMO, not in greater proportion as both of them will come out winners in their fights. I pray that both of them wins, so that a Pac-JMM3 will become inevitable as a JMM loss will make JMM-John as inevitable if John turns in a lopsided win.
JMM losing doesn't mean he'll fight John. It just means that the odds are a bit higher that he does at some point. He is still more likely to take a rematch with Diaz, go for another Lightweight belt, or retire, imo, again, if he were to lose to Juan and depending on the severity of the defeat. And it's troll material because of the manner in which you stated that JMM needs to fight Chris John. The way you've been describing it in the thread is somewhat insulting, "if Marquez is willing to fight his tormentor and stop ducking him", akin to the way some people say Pac is ducking JMM to fight Hatton. The reality is that Pac vs Hatton is a bigger fight on several levels at the moment than Pac vs JMM 3, and similarly, there are bigger names than John out there for Marquez to fight in the event of a loss to Juan Diaz, as JMM has no great motivation to fight a guy he already clearly beat in the eyes of the general populace, though not in the eyes of the hometown judges.
Please Soriano......you saying that JMM needs to rematch John is not so different with Nallege saying Pac should had rematched Singsurat.....both non-sensical and undefensible positions.
Should JMM lose tonight and a Pac-Mayweather fight doesn't materialize then I think the next logical fight for Pac after Hatton would be against Diaz at 140. It would make sense on multiple levels ranging from continuing his tradition of fighting elite Mexicans, vindicating himself from many critics who have suggested that he ducked the lightweight elites, and Juan would instantly become the next biggest name at 140 behind Pac and Hatton. Of coarse I think this is a moot scenario because I'm picking JMM to win but hopefully I'm wrong because I would love to see it.
The fight I want to see if Marquez vs. Valero. Beating Valero (IMO easily, unless I've got Valero all wrong, which from what I seen I haven't, he's wide open and a PERFECT opponent for Marquez) would make a huge statement to Pac and would surely force a 3rd fight, which is what we all want to see.
Yeah, don't think John jumping straight to LW would give a Marquez win much credibility. However, Marquez could probably still make FW if he's that bothered about avenging that loss. I don't think John fighting on the undercard is trying to set up a Marquez rematch. John fighting in the U.S now means a fight with Gamboa or Luevano is a definite prospect. Maybe he'll move up to 130 and fight Soto, or maybe even Linares (I think John would beat Linares hands down, Soto is tough as Hell as would chase John throughout, that's a 50-50 fight IMO)
If JMM loses, he can have any one of the following; - Barrera - Khan - Presscot - Moses - Katsidis - David Diaz
Pac-Singsurat is next to impossible. Singsurat is no longer active and unranked. John-JMM is very much possible. John is active, now in the US, and a titleholder. Nallege is dumb and stupid! Enough said!
JMM can only dream for a PAC 3rd fight... PAC's list is too long and JMM is at the tail of this list... PAC has only 2 fights at most after Hatton before he retires at the end of the year... - PBF - Cotto - Mosley - Valero - DelaHoya rematch - Bradley/Holt/Judah
The element of revenge is more palatable than fighting any of these fighters. The whole of Indonesia, the largest Muslim country in the world, will support their countryman John who is treated as superstar like Pac in the Philippines. Asian fans will also support this up and coming undefeated boxer who dealt the most technically equipped fighter in the world his 2nd loss.
That is also MARQUEZ' conception towartds PACMAN, then why is he still chasing PACMAN so desperately that he even went to the Philippines to beg for a third fight? :hat
