miranda is simply not good enough, basing an analysis on aa-pavlik, on their miranda fights is worthless in my opinion ill base my analysis on the way pavlik fought taylor, and how he dealt with a more agile, faster and better counter ouncher than AA. taylor did okay simply based on the fact, that he hits extremly fast and moved well. which i simply dont see aa is capable of doing. pavlik is also much taller, and so aa would have to throw his punches upwards which will cause it to lose a little power. and due to the reach difference and their styles, aa covering up, kelly jabbing to find his range, then it would probably mean, that AA would be at the end of pavliks punches. the distance for aa to "travel" before being in range to hit pavlik, could very well mean pavlik would see these punches coming. AA is at the end of kellys punches, against a guy 3 inches taller.. that surely isnt the range for abraham. to connect he would have to be extremyly fast, because of the reach/height difference. i see kelly being able, to predict aa´s punches, due the distance between them, and abraham having a hard time connecting. either AA would have use fast footwork or change his style to a mike tyson peek-a-boo with a lot of movement, but i simply cant see him doing that, he doesnt have the footwork or the speed, and i would actually quiestion his stamina, as he only fights in spurts.
You're only stating your opinion. I didn't see any physical signs that Kelly was hurt even the least bit against Miranda and he took some direct shots.
Pavlik would have to change his game plan. Have to. If he came forward against Abraham the way he has doen in every other fight I have no doubt Abraham would catch him with one of those unpredictable hooks and lay him out. Simple. Can Kelly change his game? I think not personally. Abrahams a good boxer, I dont understand this one dimensional ****. Have you actually analysed him fight?
Pavlik was never hurt against Miranda, but Miranda did win the 2nd round, and hey, 1 out of 7 ain't bad:nut Kelly executed a very risky fight plan almost perfectly. He went in and out-bullied the bully. He stated clearly before the fight that he was going to stay flat footed, and use his strength and power to back Miranda up. Lamply scoffed at Kelly for saying that, but we all know what happened.
I've seen the fight numerous times, it's not just an opinion. Pavlik WAS stunned during the fight, he wasn't necessarily wobbled or all over the place, he was stunned but was able to take the damage. Saying he wasn't stunned/hurt at all is not true, watch the fight again, it's either in the 2nd or 3rd when Miranda opened up with many punches.
I think kelly is concious that he is going to have to get a bit fancier with his defense if he wants to keep his belt
Please remember that when I say hurt here I don't necessarily mean he was nearly out or wobbly like on his way to the canvas. He was just stunned, meaning the punch had an affect and did gain his attention, then Miranda followed up with more and more punches and gassed, Pavlik recovered quickly and was throwing his own bombs only seconds later.
Pavlik can box, watch Taylor Vs. Pavlik I for that. he has a great jab, His defense might be his downfall in the end. But he has a pretty solid chin aswell. I'm convinced Kelly can use his jab a whole fight if he had to, prob his second best punch. Kelly is also a great finisher, Vs. AA Pavlik would be best to use his jab, A basic 1-2 combo will suit him just fine in a fight vs. AA.
