He really shouldn't get in a tizzy over seas. I mean everyone knows there are only 7 in the world. Why would he argue that and end up getting into a fight over it? :huh Perhaps he is confusing an Ocean?

Yes, he should go fight Felix Sturm in Germany only to be disqualified for repeatedly caving Sturm's face in with clean punches.

Should he be opposed to fighting overseas? Not at all.

He doesn't really have to leave the USA though, he is the undisputed MW champion of the world and any contenders are obligated to come to him for the matchup. You have the belt, you make the rules, you have all the belts and people can't bully you into their home turf :good

The classy thing is to fight wherever it's appropriate, be it overseas or Ohio. The champion shouldn't be obligated to chase down his contenders, but on the other hand he shouldn't AVOID them by hiding in his own country.

It doesn't matter where Pavlik fights because he always fights with a great desire to win. Arthur Abraham has never fought outside of Germany and Felix Sturm only a few times so I think they will want Pavlik to go over there.

Monzon fought several fights in Monte Carlo back in the 70's. Pavlik could too.

Maybe bring over an American challenger first to get the flavor of fighting overseas....then go after the foreign top fighters in your own weight division.

Right now Pavlik is just a very good middleweight from a little Youngstown, Ohio and needs to season some.

    Yes and why not?

It all depends on the money involved. If he'll be earning more here in U.S. then why bother?
