As soon as he hired him I said here it was going to lead to troubles with both fighter and management. Atlas not only sucks as a person, but as a trainer. Bad combination. He THINKS he knows everything, although he only had brief stay with D'amato before going on own, and has not learned **** since. All that "Bam! Bing! amd 'If he does this you go POW!!!!" stuff may impress a few kids on Friday night fights, but it's bull****. If Povetkin and old trainer can reunite, good. If not, whoever replaces Atlas has to be someone who won' t rock boat, and is steady type. It should not be someone who, like Atlas, trys to totally reinvent an already good fighter. A Jesse Ried may be good fit. Excellent conditioner, knows how to work corners, experienced at world calss level, and not on ego trip. Money may be problem, if Atlas has clause in contract saying he still gets percent if fired. Usually it's 10% to train guy, with 5% for time you put in if you get dumped.
I think Teddy is doing just fine Povetkin is winning and perfecting his craft he is right, his fighter is not ready whats better hurry into the big bucks and get retired or just wait a little longer and be perfectly ready
