unless the other fighter asserts himself better
finish stronger as oppose to running and holding on for dear life

A guaranteed 10-8 would removed any incentive for the grounded fighter to win the remaining 2:50 of a round should he be put down in the first 10 seconds. Most boxers fight on instinct I would add, so unlikely.

Still the fallen boxer wouldn't want to make it a 10-7 round by trying too hard.
