The Cotto fight was in May 2012. The Unemployment rate for August was 7.3%

It was 8.2% in May of 2012. I don't see where this is coming from? The difference in the GDP growth rate compared to then and now is pretty small also.

Lots of average fans know about this fight. And boxing fans back up the hype because we know it's a legit event. Seriously, this fight could very well do 2+ mill

If you're going to claim your an accountant major, you need to do your homework.

Many of the jobs created since then have been part-time jobs.

There is no way in HELL it will do those numbers.

    Maybe if it were $40.

But at $75, no way in HELL.

I understand that, but I don't see how that makes this economy "much, much worse" than the one from May of 2012.

Just my opinion mate. I seriously think it *could* get to 2 mill. No idea why they didn't do $60 though. That's the typical price... $75 is going to reduce the # of buys for sure

  7. Who gives a ****... all's I know is that none of us are going to be getting paid.

That's the only definite and accurate thing said on this thread.

I think 1.7, give or take .2, will be the ballpark.

I do not think it will break 2mill.

  9. Their own greed with the pricing will fvck up the final PPV buys total.

    Stupid pricing it that high.

i'd say break even point is 1.5 to 1.7 mil as a poster said. i dont think they mind losing a little money here considering they are thinking this as a loss leader.

I got mad money it does 2 mil. it did 1.5 with Cotto. Now with Canelo??? Of course its doing 2 mil, u got to be crazy if u think its not. maybe your a hater or not really a boxing fan but this is by far the biggest fight that can be made and Canelo is 42-0 and has all of mexico and a bunch of casual fans. mayweather has alot of fans and haters, nobody really hated Cotto. its a wrap, maybe even the record

It will not do 2M, Boxing fans are much wiser now. They know there's no chance Floyd will fight Pacquiao next. There's no more hyping ( " Pacquiao you're next ").:rofl

Nobody is thinking about Pacquiao bro. canelo is 42-0, just from a Casual fan stand point that works your eyes like Magic. Mayweather 44-0, has alot more fans since hes calm down with the smack talking abd taking this fight and still has a ton of haters. like I said before the Cotto fight did 1.5, and this fight cant do 2??? With every Mexican in the world watching it?? i say 2.2-.5
