Showtime Commentators Superior to HBO

whichever way the pendulum swings, Lampley follows!!!!!

 

HBO shouldnt have fired lennox if they were only going to replace him with jones.


Tarver though is simply awesome at commentating.

Absolutely agree 100%. HBO commentators especially Lampley are nothing but cheerleaders the majority of the time. Peace to Steward, Jones Jr & Kellerman tho.


I'm very impressed with the Tarver addition by Showtime. Great move.

I've hated HBO commentary for a long time, Showtime is streets ahead.

 

I sincerely hope HBO reads this message board and gets this message. I will not buy HBO until they get rid of Merchant and Kellerman and replace them with a Dave Bontempo or Sean O'Grady.

 

I like the sky sports commentating but yeah Showtime > HBO.

 

Showtime is better... the poll is pretty conclusive.

Lennox was horrible. Glad HBO got rid of him.

Jones is a great commentator. Foreman wasn't bad either.

 

Showtime easily...HBOs crew is so negative and smug its annoying...I'm glad Roy is back because he brings some type of credibility to the bunch...I cant count how many times that Lampley says "hard, right(left) hand by Fighter A", meanwhile, fighter A missed the punch and got countered...Showtimes crew has personality and provides technical insight as well...Lampley and Merchant bring nothing to the table in a technical regard, and Manny Steward has knowledge but he can't speak very well.

 

in general i like showtime but i like merchant a lot too.

 

I like Showtime much better as well. They seem to actually focus on the fight, whereas Lampley and Merchant go off of their idiotic tangents that have nothing to do with the fight. Kellerman and Papa are cool, as well as some of the guest analysts they have sometimes, but Lampley and Merchant are just unbearable. Lampley calls fights like he's reading lines from an over dramatic movie or play. I mean how many times has he used the same lame ass lines like "his face is a grotesque mask". I don't think I have to tell anyone why Merchant sucks.

 

You guys are insane lol. Showtimes people look like ****ing goof ball nerds. HBO is on point all the time. I love Marchant, Lampley, Kellerman, Jim etc...I love to hear them talking ****. Its funny. Kellerman kills all his interviews..props to him for the V. Ortiz interview. Merchant is a old weird man that makes you laugh no matter what his crazy ass says. Lampley be killing me with his BANG BANG BANG lol. HBO is murdering showtime...seriously. JIM!!!!!!!

Oh and Bob Popa sucks. I feel like I know about boxing than him.
