BTW, I'm not saying this is not an interesting matchup. It certainly is, just like Froch-Bute. But if the networks don't want Bute to fight someone other than Ward, I don't see why SOG should have a special treatment.

It's THE fight besides Ward-Bute everyone wants to see. Dawson may not have much of a fanbase, but Ward does. Most likely would of been in Oakland anyways. Maybe they want Ward vs Bute before Ward vs Dawson battle of unbeatens. USA vs CANADA!!!
Yes Bute vs. Ward HAS to happen before they can fight the 175 champ. . They should have a doubleheader: Dawson/Pascal II, and Ward/Bute. . . This fight would probably average 7 landed punches a round but it's still a very good fight! A good tactical match between 2 pure boxers... I would of watched it!

^ Dawson has said he'd move down to Super Middle to make it happen. And with Dawson having moved over to HBO and Ward currently with Showtime I wonder how that'd factor into it
