NO!! he didn't cheat !! Not one person can prove that Margarito ever did anything illegal. It was Naz Richardson that started the accusations when he mentioned " Plaster Blocks" No plaster was ever found when his wraps were tested, even when tested microscopically. No one has ever said there was ever plaster they couldn't.
All the CSAC ever had was they SUSPECTED he MAY have tried to cheat & that's why they snatched back his license to box in Ca & in doing so ruined his career & good name. I thought the US law stated that any suspect should be deemed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law!! Margarito was never taken to court they had nothing to indict him on.
Ive stuck to my guns over this because I detest anyone that does cheat & is proven to have done so be banned for life Boxing is a dangerous enough sport as it is. If anyone could PROVE Margarito had got plaster in his wraps I'd be on his back worse than anyone. Now Luis Resto & Panama Lewis were proven to have removed padding from Resto's gloves for the fight with Billy Collins & were justly sentenced they not only ruined his career but also his life. They deserved longer sentences
To late to do anything about it today but it was certainly not justice for Margarito
