He has offered everyone their ticket money back. Normally a fighter would get around. 10%.. I'm gutted turns a good show into a poor one.. Eddie should try make Ronnie Clark v. Jon Kay's or a big fight for Simpson

Murray v Simpson would be a good fight.

Pretty sure Simmo is going back down to FW though?

Really? Ronnie's hands are still not 100% , he hasn't even had medical clearance but you think it would be a good idea to have him fight in less than a month without proper training, sparring etc

The fight against John Kays will be Ronnies biggest ever boxing fight and will determine his chance at fighting for the British title where he can become the one making demands instead of always having to try shout out other fighters for the chance.

As his brother do you really think rushing into the biggest fight of your boxing career would be a really smart move?
I would think that the people around him (especially family) should be trying to help make him see the big picture knowing how long he has waited to get his chance. If he messes this chance up with John Kays he could become even more high risk/ low reward fighter and the fights he wants will never happen.

What would you rather have? Ronnie winning and getting the chance to make people come fight him or Lose his chance and then spend the rest of his career having to fight guys in their back yard?
I know Ronnie will say he just wants the fights but that is why he needs people around him trying to look after him.

    Only my opinion though mate

Ronnie is the one asking for a fight.. He wants to fight on that show I would rather he waited! He is saying he is ready and I only have his word for that.. He's sparring and punching so I'm assuming it's not a problem but I haven't spoke to him about it..

I don't see the Jon Kay's fight the same as you do High risk/low reward? I've seen Kay's a couple of times and really this fight is a win win for Ronnie..

Agree if his hands aren't fully healed he shouldn't fight until they are but equally he shouldn't fight a meaningless fight in the meantime.. He was talking about a week ago about fighting in Mid Feb.

I don't see this as anywhere near his biggest fight as Maxi Hughes and Ryan Walsh are better fighters than Jon Kay's

I think you missed the point on the high risk /low reward, I meant if Ronnie doesn't beat John Kays then it will be Ronnie who will become a high risk /low reward fighter in the future even worse than now.

I too think Ronnie can beat John Kays but he needs to be 100% and be training properly, I spoke to Ronnie on Saturday and his sparring has been one handed. Not ideal preparation imo.

On this being the biggest fight i reckon you are looking at it from the wrong perspective, Maxi Hughes and Ryan Walsh might be better fighters but fighting them wouldn't have got Ronnie a British Title shot, if he does what he can do and is 100% then he has every chance of beating John Kays and fighting for the British Title. If he were to go on and win the british title he would hold a very good hand to get the fights he has always wanted because people want that Lonsdale belt.

That is unfortunate and the supporting cast for The Champ is awful. The fact that Simmons/Camacho was Co-Main Event/Chief Support in the first place was poor. Now the card is seriously lacking in depth. A terrible shame that you are the Champion and your promoter does not fill the card with the quality it deserves.

Semtex I agree with your posts once again.

The Simmons-Camacho fight wasn't a great chief support in the first place, but now that it's off just makes the card look real thin and disappointing. I mean all we have now is the main-event. Ricky should have the best undercards since he is Matchroom's only two-weight world champion.
It just show's a total lack of respect toward Ricky and the Scottish fans.

Dont agree at all that it shows lack of respect, Big simmo deserved that shot as chief support hes fought on a good few a rickys cards won them all, much rather see him than some past it name or good english/foreign fighter in a bout but thats just me. This is scotland night, we dont get many so we want to see our boys in there. The so-called REAL boxing fans want the best a the best but we just want to see fighters who mean suhin tae us, its just not in your heart ryan

I have bought the £60 ticket pal so how is that not heart? I also bought all of the other tickets as well so you cant deny me of heart.

I have said in a previous post it is good for the Scottish boys getting the exposure, but being a world title fight I feel the undercard should be worthy of the occasion and i feel the undercard could be better IMO.

Seriously Dave what benefit would ronnie v Kay's be to Matchroom none whatsoever, won't happen anyway Kay's is defending his English title soon and will see that as a bigger fight than fighting Ronnie in Glasgow
