Most featherweights in Britain would look small against selby he is a huge FW

For sure Selby could easily move up 2 weight classes!

John moving down to SBW is certainly a last throw of the dice and if he can make the weight then who knows? Possibly a new lease for him

Seems like Simpson has been around forever, fought a who's who in Britain and always performed well shame he couldn't move on to european level but if he can move down and do the weight safely he will be a good addition to the SBW's and good tests for quigg and frampton.

I've heard he is turning it in. When I spoke to someone regarding a possible move down, I was told be was shite in training and only took one last pay day.

Simmys capitulation against selby was both shocking & tragic IMO, I dont buy Selby being a murderous puncher, I just think Simmy looked a shadow of himself & I think he knew it, & I know Gary barlow gets a lot of stick here, but I thought he made a fine observation when he pointed out that Billy Nelson wasnt on talking up Simmys chances before the fight...

    strange:think

but like the Murphys Im not bitter, Simmy has given me many a happy night in boxing, but nothing lasts forever I suppose.

I agree Billy not being on here shouting the odds is a bit strange and does make you think,at the end of the day it's up to John and what he wants to do....

Says in the Sun yesterday he's on the Burns bill in March.

That's exactly what Simpson said about Swifty as well mate I read an article on the scene said he looked faded against Selby so it could be a genuine mistake , hopefully

  9. I think the 2nd Smith loss ****ed him off big time and he just thought ''what's the ****ing point''.

Not many fighters have lost practically every close decision like he has, I bet he was bricking it against Lindsay too despite being a relatively clear winner.
