I don't know about Macklin, but Lee could defo take an English title if he wanted to, my kind of bloke :good......its strange though how he has managed to develop a bog Irish accent even though he didn't move to Ireland until he was 14 :huh

OK then....In answer to your original question, his parents are Irish and therefore his extended family are Irish. It was through time spent with his extended family in Ireland that he became a decorated hurler and learnt his boxing basics. Off course, none of this will matter a dam to a bigot like you who follows a team that practised a sectarian signing policy for over a 100 years! Ultimately, it doesn't matter what you, I, or anyone ellse thinks....he is Irish because that's what he says he is!...get over it scumbag!

 Good old Fra...I love Westport, its great, as is Donegal with all its black eyed women, and Cork and Dublin, and best of all Derry (yes, Derry) just about everywhere over there. The only problem that I have with Ireland is blokes like you Fra.

I know, I just can't help myself.....I apologise profusley if I've triggered an argument. Lets all hope and agree that Macklin at least does himself proud tonight, win or lose, English or Irish :good

**** me you are one simple fellow:deal. My answer to the first part of your quite clearly hatefull response was that i have never heard him big up his "Irish heritage" untill the Sturm fight maybe he has before but i have never heard it so that was why i asked the question there was nothing bigoted in it you absoulte crying little *****. So **** off and stop trying to make this thread into some bull**** Rangers Celtic pish away and crawl up yer own arse.

Macklins been mentioning his Irish heritage well before Sturm. Didn't he come over here and sign with Peters a good few years ago? This thread is going like every thread ever started like this.
