Yep, i did. He was up at 8. Now if the ref didnt usher Skinny away, and started counting as soon as Pac was dropped, then it would have been longer than 10. Even so, it wouldnt make any difference, Pac was watching the count and could have got up earlier if he wanted, he was just composing himself.
The ref had no reason to suspend the count and should've picked up what the timekeeper was indicating. It's probably the timekeeper who has given him the wrong count. The time keeper is to count how long a boxer has been on the canvas. If the referee sees no reason to suspend the count, he is to pick up the time keepers count.
Yeh, i agree the ref didnt need to spend so much time making sure Skinny was backing off, but regardless, Pac was up on his knee watching the count pretty quick. No way Hussein was robbed. He was stung though.
Oh yeah mate, don't get me wrong, I'm not saying he was robbed at all. It is a slow count though. For mine he's down at 8 or 8.5. Up at 19 going by the youtube counter. It's all been and gone though.
The ref started counting from 1 after Pac had been down for 5-6 seconds. Were was the timekeeper, He should have started the count for the ref to take up once he had Hussy in the neatrul corner.
And yet you Ipswich thought Bute Andrade was all fine and dandy, in my opinion it's 100 times worse than this.
They are both "fine" in the sense that both fighters beat the count...the count is when the ref reaches 10 and in the Bute case he was well up before 10 in real time anyway. The conduct of the ref in both cases however leaves a lot to be desired.
Whats MSM fights? Yeah Bute got up before the count, and imo the bell would have went so not much there
Mate the referee didn't see any need to suspend the count. Therefore it should proceed. The referee in Bute v Andrade saw the need to suspend the count. Two completely differing cases mate.
Quite simply that is not true. The referee SHOULD suspend a count if a fighter leaves the neutral corner before he is instructed to. Andrade did this. There's rules in place and they need to be followed.
Thought exactly the same thing... Gave him plenty of time to get his bearing together to...He looked gone to me.. Ref had a nice 3-5 second yarn to him after he ended the count. What could of been hey..lol
Clearly this is a very seldom enforced rule, to the extent that Wright enforced it anyway..at the very least the fighter is allowed to stand where Andrade was and often they are almost on top of the fighter when the ref finishes his count/ Technically it is right, I am not doubting that but it was fairly obvious that Wright was doing everything in his power to help Bute and a few instances throughout that fight and especially that round highlighted this.
