Sky PPV vs. 1 month Boxnation Subscription – Which is better value for money?

not really what i was getting at. sure frank isn't my kinda guy but nor is rupert. banking, petrochemical and pharmaceutical (for example) firms are shockers. it strikes me there's plenty even more deserving targets of boycotts if we're gonna head down that road.

 

that's sky charging you a premium to watch a competitor, and he's specifically comparing the ppv against the cost of bn, because they're similar. what you suggest is another set of figures again.

 

No charge like that for the likes of lfctv/mutv, premier sports is a fiver so it's another way they're milking it

 

You're really thick just like the other nutcase on here who is obsessed by Frank and Boxnation. If you're this thick online when you actually have time to think about what you're saying then geez...you must be even thicker in person.

The thread was clearly asking Boxing fans which was better value for money, spending £17 on the SKY PPV or £12 plus registration charge if applicable for a months subscription to BOXNATION.

If you don't get that then there's no hope for you and you're wasting valuable air.

again, i'm unsure what you're trying to get at. sky charge a fee to connect viewers to boxnation, it's them doing the milking, this isn't open to debate.

 

You pay that through boxnation though not sky, why is it £8 for boxnation but £5 for premier sports? Surely it'd be more for the latter as they are more likely to be a threat? Although in fairness bt sport was a tenner for me I think, but their cost base will be much higher than the other two

Im a BN subscriber but this is a strange comparison.

 

As I've said before it's strange they add that much compared to someone like premier sports who will have similar subscription numbers and nothing for Mutv which has 100k subscribers and is half the price

 

But you qouted fights in November and December? that's 2 months subscription! Maybe you arent the smartest yourself.

 

stranger still that no charge at all is added on virgin. how's about you state your case instead of presenting what may or may not be evidence for it?

 

you realize those dates, while spanning 2 calender months, fall within 1 month's duration? buy bn tomorrow and you get the fights listed. it really is worth thinking before accusing another of stupidity.

 

No I hadnt realised thanks for poiting it out! :nut you realise that you pay a monthly subscription? so each month it costs the same amount?

If you subscribe to Boxnation you pay for ONE calendar month, however you say it you still pay £12 a month = £24 for 2 months, plus there is no mention of the months where very little happens but you still have to pay to watch the repeats over and over again.

Also I just booked the fight on Virgin and its £14.95!

Anyway its a pointless argument but just making sure the facts are correct.

your "facts" are wrong. you don't pay per calender month (unless you subscribe on the 1st), you pay for a month from the date you join. subscribe tomorrow and you will get the fights op listed.

and again, the comparison isn't sky v boxnation, it's that specific ppv v the month starting tomorrow on boxnation. did you really pay the £14.95 when you can get the whole month for an ayrton? i rest my case, m'lud.
