Agree with the general view that Matchroom need to really improve their UK shows. For starters, Usyk v Chisora and Whyte v Povetkin if ppv should be a joint ppv on same show. As mentioned what has Natasha Jonas done to deserve a shot. We definitely need more competitive British and Commonwealth title fights on Sky.

I dont mind it if it's a good fight. Problem is there us such a lack of depth, quality wise. I think they need to have less weight classes at womans boxing to condense quality a bit more.

If you were given the choice between this card and watching the cctv footage of that nights doncaster pub fights I wonder which would be the best choice?

This is what happens when Eddie Hearn puts on 3 PPVs in the space of 2 months, all the decent fights will be used as PPV filler and Saturday night boxing is left with this shite

another problem with women boxing is rarely do you get that moment that in an instant the fight changes like someone gets hurt and the other person tries to finish, that the same with top fighters. hardly any knock outs, when it is its normally the ref just waives it off. fair play for women getting in the ring but its not for me at the moment

Look at the replies on Twitter. Look at the defendants. "It says NextGEN, what do you expect???"

So long as that sort of nonsense can be defended by merry idiots then it'll continue to happen. And frankly they would be foolish to not continue exploiting it.

3 min rounds would increase the stoppages significantly, especially as the stoppages that do happen in women’s boxing tend to come from accumulative shots. With 2 min rounds, fighters are often let off the hook when in trouble.

Very true, though I recall the WBC showing medical reports highlighting how much more dangerous it is for women to fight 3 minute rounds as their bodies just don't react as well to dehydration etc

Id still rather watch the women fight than some 14-0 prospect pitty pattering some 2-156 journeyman who doesn't throw a punch, at least the girls seem to be stepping up quicker, but yes, terrible card. Chantelle Cameron can fight

If this was Frank we’d all be laughing at him saying he’s finished.

An absolutely appalling card. As someone alluded to above, it’s because he needs the rest of his fighters to fill the PPV undercards.

    Disgrace

One positive is, is this card will go ahead. The coronavirus will only affect large crowds. There will be no one their to watch this shite.
