Dawson doesn't speak well in public, but he's not punchy. I've even posted a thread on that before, how he needs to work on his public speaking in order to market himself better, but some people just aren't naturally gifted speaking in front of a camera. Jermain Taylor used to sound bad, and Bo Jackson was one of the worst. Dawson isn't punchy, just unrefined.
It was a given that the thread would go downhill considering the best post of my ESB career is in it. Irony's a cruel ***** that way.
you made some good points however when you see guys like mosley, jones, judah, mayweather they seam pretty articulate to me, and they started very young.
I don't know if that's anything to do with being punch drunk. I reckon they were probably just thick as pig **** to begin with. It seems more like a case of never having grasped the English language rather than brain damage.
I dont like the dissing of the midwest OLD school lingo of the mayweathers...they talk like black folk of the 70s like fat albert characters..lol..Do you see us talking about how people(white) down in the south..west virginia....mississipi..Texas...****...North Carolina...South Carolina...**** I can keep going..I dont understand a ****ing thing any of them say at all....
You insult black folks in the Midwest by saying they talk like Roger Mayweather. It's not an accent, it's the inability to pronounce words. Some people in the South are that way as well, black and white. That's why I mentioned the thing about the dudes who buy beer at my gas station. But I love the way the Mayweathers talk. Though I was not displeased that Dawson left Floyd Sr., I certainly will miss hearing Floyd between rounds.
