small hall boxer in intensive care

    to kieron, thank you for your comments, the towel waving was a godsend as it kept not only jonjo cool but the medics as well, it very sad this has happened, i have been doing boxing shows for 20 years and never experienced such a devastating knockout, usually we manage to get them round with oxygen etc, but as medics we saw all the danger signs and did our best to stabilise jonjo before moving him, my apologies if i came across a bit shirty, i never cease to be amazed at the small world boxing is, i love it. JONJO COME ON SON, WE ARE ALL WISHING YOU A FULL SPEEDY RECOVERY.

    apparently breathing on his own now and awake thank god and the medics doctors and staff at the hospital a win for boxing.
    hope he makes a good recovery:yep:good

    medical help is very good at pro boxing, maybe the home boxer who would take more punishment and given longer in a bout to turn things round or just get to the finish for a homey decision, that bit wants looking at, though may not be relavant here? hope he comes through ok.

    I understand what you're saying but in this case the fight was very even up until a massive right hook that ended the fight at the beginning of the 6th. So glad to see Jonjo making progress. Hope he gets back to full health

    Hi all, good news all round for jonjo, he has been transferred back to burton hospital, excellent news, he still has a bit to do but all is looking good. Nice one.

    it's great to get updates. Jonjo and his family are in all of our thoughts.

    Well done to Buncey as well for taking the time to visit and passing on the latest news on his show and podcasts.
