the canelo/floyd fight had to happen now while newbie fans were still clueless on how average alvarez is.

in a year(two fights) from now canelo wouldve already been exposed even to the biggest nuthuggers.

the continued exposure will happen against molona where there wont be a 10+/- difference in the compubox stats yet canelo will win by UD.

but after 36 rounds with three prime jmw's(trout/floyd/molina) it will be apparant to even casual women fans that the 5'7" alvarez is nothing special.

You may well be right. I don't think Alvarez has peaked so I am planning on seeing development there, but if that doesn't happen, he could get upset. I can see why Golden Boy wouldn't want to risk somebody tipping the apple cart, ala Kotelnik almost ruining the Bradley-Alexander fight that was already planned.
