Hmm, I may have to try this just to change it up. My sets are anywhere from 10 to 20 reps as I gradually increase weight per set. I like to be able to do 20 reps before I bump up the weight, and then I will lower it back down to 10. Work my way up, repeat. I take my time with putting on more weight basically. I like your idea though, and may try it for a week or two to shock my body. I guess I have always been concerned with not just strength, but endurance. I'm the type that would rather be able to rep 240 20+ times instead of putting up 300+ pounds. My friend suggested reps of 12, 10, and 8 as I gradually increase weight... and that I should bump up my total weight. "If you are finishing your last set with 10 reps and energy, you should do more weight." (My Friend) As for diet: I don't add sugar sugar to anything. Salt, guilty as charged cause I like salsa/taco sauce for flavor which has sodium. I just make sure I drink a bunch of water (half gallon to a gallon per day). 1 - shake in the morning to break my fast right away. 2 - egg whites, turkey sausage, bell peppers, onions, taco sauce or salsa, breakfast burritos (sometimes I add parmesan and I use flour tortillas) + multivitamin, fish oil, amino acids 3 - Nonfat plain greek yogurt with some type of healthy fiber/protein cereal, and a tablespoon of honey 4 - I have a "super seed" bread I use for my sandwhich, I actually get like 14g of protein from the 2 slices of bread. 4-6oz of turkey with baby spinach and mus**** + vitamins, fish oil, amino acids 5 - chicken breast with either green beans, coli flower, or broccoli typically (I have a non-fat, 0 calorie ranch and buffalo sauce I mix together for my chicken before I bake it) + vitamins, fish oil, amino acids 6 - cottage cheese/fruit (Typically my late night snack but I've had this at all times of day) Sometimes substitute meal with shake + sugar free almond milk and a banana. Pre-workout: I've been using NoXplode (liquid cocaine I call it ) Post Workout: I'll have one of those 22g protein Muscle Gels right after as I leave the gym
Funny thing is that the biggest RED FLAG is and will always be Manny declining OST in 2010. Their evidence Floyd is on PEDS is that he is in shape at 38 but Manny declining OST all together is ok though
Have you guys ever been to the gym? There's people there all the time older and in similar if not better shape. These trolls don't understand that fitness and boxing is their life. These guys don't work a 8-5 and then come home and do chores. There job is to exercise all day, spar, box exercise repeat. Floyd is also known to not drink or smoke and to stay in shape.

But Floyd has NEVER looked so muscular in his 20 odd year career as he does now. And he is nearly 40 years old? At a time when your testosterone drops like hell? And it's all through chopping wood, right?
Look at Lennox Lewis in a 10 year period. Was he on PED's too? When you get older your muscles mature. You can say what you posted about any fighter. Literally. Of course someone is going to look different in an 8 year span. :rofl
Floyd has always ran his own camp, he did his own work outs and did as he pleased, then he was in great shape. Now he has a health and conditioning coach who pushes him and dose not allow him to eat big macs during training. I assume all boxers are probably taking PEDs and wouldn't be surprised if Manny, Floyd, Tim Bradley who ever came out positive. But to say he is roiding because he looks in best shape in the last couple of years for the biggest fight of his career, where he admitted he is implementing more work outs, more dedication and eating better is just stupid. Manny also carried power and gained speed coming up from feather weight all the way up to 154, is that not shady? Usually fighters look slower and loose power.
You really can't add serious mass without putting on weight, but you can add smaller amounts of mass while cutting fat. It's called a recomp. Using boxing, marquez weighed the same, but visibly was appearing 5 to 10 lbs heavier.
You really don't seem to have a grasp on this. Your body will respond to the strain you put it under. If he trains for speed, he will do speed exercises, an his body will respond. He is currently working on strength, so his body has responded. Its the reason MMA fighters are generally more muscular than boxers. Because of the training they do. You are making out as if he is huge in comparison to usual. Its a slight muscle gain. nothing drastic at all. I really cant see anything that would lead me to think he is doing anything untoward. Its such a slight increase in muscle.
Your muscles 'mature'? Floyd, when he faced Oscar, was in his physical PRIME. Now he is years out of it, and somehow, he looks more jacked than ever... at the age of 38? Come on...
